Loved the scene with Callie tonight, they just worked so well together.
I think the show should use Richard alot more.

^ Yeah, I liked that scene too :D

So... it seems like his wife is leaving him, do you think that will lead to more interaction with Ellis? (Mer's mother) :look:

ComeAwayWithMe 09-30-2006 12:15 PM

I think he's chosen the hospital. But I hope he works things out with Adele (I just love them!)

Beatriz 09-30-2006 01:13 PM

Yeah, I like Adele too :) Do they have kids? (well, they migth be married by now, but you know  ) I can't remember. Because if they have, I guess that they might show up eventually, maybe trying to make him reconsider his decision.

ComeAwayWithMe 09-30-2006 01:24 PM

I don't think they have kids. I suppose it's possible that we've never heard about them cause they're grown up.

Merlin_Bodhi 09-30-2006 06:55 PM

They could always play around with the backstory.
I wonder if they didnt have kids if that would be one of the reasons why Adele wants to leave.

Richard has basically stolen a great deal of her life.

Exactly. I think there are so many thngs that have never been mentioned when it comes to the chief, that anything can happen. I mean, I had no idea he had been alcoholic.

So yes, we definaly need more background on him, his marriage, etc.

I agree, but she to blame as much as he is. I mean, I don't think anyone put a gun to her head to be there if she didn't fill fulfilled.

This subject it is sth that has always intrigued me. Maybe I can't understand it since I am single and I have never seen myself in that position. But my question is: up to what point are men responsible for 'taking away a woman's life'?

I mean, 50 years ago maybe they were to blame since women had no other options, but now? If you feel like he is ignoring you, like he doesn't give you all the time that you deserve... why are you still there? :look: Mostly if you don't even have kids, as it appears to be Adele's case.

Exactly...something just doesn't seem right there to me either. Especially since it's now evident that she's always known about his affair with Ellis as well...between that and his constant apparent indifference to her, I can't see why she wouldn't have walked away long ago... I know I probably would have if it were me in that place...whether I had kids or not...

Same here Christy.

But it's ok, because I think this all is gonna be a door open to explore the chief's life, which is something good :)

Exactly...I've been looking forward to getting to know more about him and his past anyway, so this is as good of an opportunity as any for that...;)

I really hope we get to see more one on one scenes with the Cheif this season. I don't really care who the scenes are with, but all of them are really great.

He and Bailey tonight were great. At least he is nice enough to not cut her off and be like "I am the boss - shut up"
