Chicago PD 4x23 "Fork In The Road" Season 4 Episode 23 Promo (Season Finale) - When Lindsay (Sophia Bush) receives a panicked call from her mother Bunny (guest star Markie Post) whose boyfriend had just been shot, Lindsay must figure out the best way to approach the situation, as her mother is now a murder suspect. The case opens up when a group of high school students OD, and the drugs in question relate back to the situation with Bunny. In addition to her mother's issues, Lindsay finds herself up against the review board dealing with consequences of her actions. Also starring Jason Beghe, Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, Elias Koteas, Marina Squerciati, LaRoyce Hawkins and Amy Morton. Guest starring Tracy Spiradakos, Esai Morales, Chandra West and Saul Stein.

I feel it's be out by now if she had actually left the show because normally there's post Morton interviews etc. Still though it seemed like closure albeit in a miserable send off sort of way...

I felt cheated with this finale!

First of all - Jay wants to marry Erin because she's going through a rough time?!?? Really? How about because you love her, because you can't live without her, because she's the one and always has been. The writers are not doing him any favors.

Then I hated : that Erin didn't take his call.

Bunny!!! Always scheming and always expecting Erin to bail her out of her latest screw up. This was unbelievable but sadly in character for Erin. So now she gets away with murder. When will she ever realize that her actions have consequences? Makes me want to slap her. :head_slap: Kidding/not kidding.

I can't imagine Sophia leaving CPD. Something will happen to bring her back to Chicago. Something that will make the captain rethink his ultimatum and let her back into Intelligence. We have all summer to speculate.

This bugged me more then the cliffhanger. It's like they're completely downgrading that relationship. I hated Will implying Erin was the reason they didn't work out. She wasn't. She wanted to support Jay and he wanted out anyway. I know he had his reasons but it irks me that now he suddenly wants to marry her because she's in a bad situation and Wills telling him to run like she's some headcase.

Bunny is a waste of oxygen and should go to jail. All she has ever done is cause problems for Erin and expecting her to bail her out of the jams she gets into.

I hope Sophia Bush is not leaving the show.

If this wasn't her exit then I hope the season opener has her deal with Bunny once and for all - send her to prison. Whatever.

It did seem pretty final given she knows her mother did it but doesn't care anyway. She just seemed done with everything.

Ugh that freaking Bunny she's just ugh! What a mess she is and Erin keeps bailing her out. It's a damn shame. And why did Voight throw away that evidence!?

Not defending what Jay was thinking, but I think he wants to marry Erin because she's been there for him and now that she's in trouble, he wants to be there for her. Not the best way writers but at least he finally realizes that he wants to be with Erin. Too bad it's too little too late. The writers really messed this one up

So... is Sophia leaving or what?!? Was that one episode foreshadowing this? That one episode where she was thinking of leaving Chicago but I can't remember which one it was... it would be sad if she really is leaving.

I think there would have been an exit interview if she was really leaving. I think they wanted to do a cliffhanger similar to Fires only they singled out Erin. I really hope she's not leaving but it seemed so final albeit a disappointing exit.

I half think if she was leaving as well that they'd have given her a scene with Jay where she asks him to let her go or something like that instead of just leaving them hanging like that.

I don't think she is leaving either. I think they want us to think she is but they haven't even announced anything about Sophia yet. I hope it's just a ploy or ratings gimmick.

It would cost the show viewers if Sophia left the series. She's too integral to Intelligence and actually almost all of the SL's. The writers needed a cliffhanger so decided on this. I hope they do better with their characters next season, starting with Linstead.

It sure seemed like Sophia is leaving by the final scene with Voight. If not how would she get her job back? Just the fact no announcement makes me wonder if she really is

That's what I mean like I don't think shes leaving but with the way storyline has been written I don't know why she'd stay. Even the Lindstead proposal was written as not being for the right reasons with Will making it out like Jay needs to walk way.

They've done a good job of getting Lindsay to a point where she has nothing left in Chicago for her so I'm not sure how she could suddenly be staying by the premiere in September.
