Chicago PD 8×13 “Trouble Dolls” is more a Kim-centric hour than a Burzek centric one, with the episode exploring her reactions, her fears, and her decisions. This was, in my opinion, the right choice for the episode, and Marina Squerciati delivers on every emotion Kim is feeling.

But Adam gets to express his opinion on some things, as well, which I was really glad to see.

What are Kim and Adam? This episode provides one word to describe them, and honestly, it fits.

This show has done a lot to try to redeem Voight. They still have a lot to do in my book, but you can see they’re trying.

I swear to God, Jay and Hailey shop at the exact same place and get the exact same sweaters. They’re basically coordinating in this episode. Which just makes me hope that, now that they’re a couple, we can have an episode where it’s obvious she’s wearing HIS clothes. For reasons, and science. This is one of my favorite tropes, leave me alone.
The insistence on having deep, emotional conversations in the middle of crime scenes is still something I do not understand.
Bring tissues for this one. There’s a particular scene a little over halfway into the episode that had me teary.

You know who has a great moment in this episode? Trudy. And honestly, I’d missed Trudy doling out wisdom in her own Trudy way.

If you look closely – and I know you guys will – you will see breadcrumbs for the future with something left hanging in one of the final scenes.

Do you have a weakness for an OTP when one half calls the other “dummy” affectionately? Cause I do.

That Burzek scene from the trailer? It sure feels like the scene that will determine their relationship going forward.

I think it's most likely a joke. Like maybe Voight loses the unit or gets hurt in the finale so is temporarily reassigned.
