I know this is even going more off topic, but I thought way back the summer before we knew if Antonio was coming that they should have gotten rid of Voight and let Antonio take over the unit. Then somehow get Erin to come back.

I just binged watched Seasons 1 to 4 of Chicago PD. I love Erin and Jay. Is the show worth watching season 5 without Sophia Bush? They made up a huge part of the show. Did they already know that Sophia was leaving and changed the last arch of the season to give her a send off. It was pretty sad that Jay was left ready to propose to her.

If you watch the show only for Sophia then no, don’t watch. But if you’re still interested in the rest of the cast/team then yes.

End of season 4 was sloppy writing when it cam to Jay and Erin. The whole idea of him having a wife that didn't turn in the divorce papers and him walking out on Erin after this went against everything that they stood for in the first 3 and a half seasons. It was like they had a different story line set up for them and then they received the news that Sophia wasn't coming back and they just threw a story line together. The only good thing was they didn't kill her off. They left the door open if she would ever decide to come back or if they wanted to recast the character.

OK why was this deleted. This is an amazing scene.  Deleting scenes like this is the biggest flaw this show has. They don't balance the Police stuff with their personal life at all. __________________

Yes! I remember they released that scene after the episode. Sad it was cut. It was a great scene that said volumes about them.
