But see, Mouse is literally a guest star or a recurring guest star. Atwater has been a Chicago PD regular. That's the difference. I don't think they should give mouse a storyline or a back story when they refuse to give people like Antonio, Atwater, platt, roman a storyline that lasts for more than one episode.

I understand why you want to Atwater got a longer story, I feel the same way, believe me. But no one has a longer story. besides Erin ... Oh sorry, in S1 Jay had a little story abaut Lonnie, Antonio abaut his son and pulpo and Hank of course. But it was in S1.. long time ago.

So, if you don't mind that one character gets a story for nearly a dozen episodes, I don't understand why are you so nervous that in one episode the story gets Mouse? it's not like he takes the story to someone else for example Atwater

I'm not afraid to say, that Mouse (even if he's only a quest star) is a more interesting character than Atwater, but it is a matter of taste, I guess. ..
Also depends on what you mean by saying that someone should get a story?

agree that Platt should get a story too! She is great! and I agree in 100% that each character should get a longer story that they doesn't breaks off after one episode, but then they would have to stop focus primarily on Erin.

PS: Kevin lives with his sister and brothers. personally I would love to know something more about this.

If there's a recurring character like Mouse, who has known a main character like Jay for a long time, I think they should get a back story but not necessarily always focus on it. It's the same for Bunny, her story is with Erin, who is basically the main character (along with Hank). So of course they'd give her a lot of time. Once they're finished with that storyline, they'll move onto another. If you're a recurring or guest star character and you're not related, a friend or an enemy of Erin or Hank, they probably won't get much of a back story. I hope I'm wrong in the future but that's what I think.

Antonio is as much as main character as Erin and Hank are. He doesn't deserve his story to be ignored.

Of course he is, so is Olinsky but he doesn't get nearly enough attention as Erin or Hank. Looks like it's changing though with his new story. it just seems like to the writers of the show, Erin and Hank are the two main characters.

One of mine is Mouse. I liked when he first guest starred in season 1, he acted different than he does now.

I guess I don't really have a favorite but I do like the characters we love to hate. For example, Yates and Bunny.

Instead of cheering them on, we cheer for them to be defeated - one way or another.

Mouse has to be my favorite too.

And Yates was terrifying!! So creepy!! I love the actor because he was so good in that role. But very creepy!

I think Med seems to be pretty good at balancing all of their characters.
