Thanks for the thread!
I'm very interested in knowing what Jay finds out about Voight and Olinsky's past. __________________

That had been really good. It was a good episode in terms of friendships and character development I think.
I liked Voight because he is a good cop at times but I felt that his revenge had been less for Antonio and more for him. I am glad that he admitted that he was wrong at the end. I think that Alvin really shined in this because you could see that Browning almost killed him and he didn't want this to weigh down on him too. The scene in which he went to his wife and cried had been amazing, great acting from him. I loved seeing the Dawsons together, Platt had been sweet to sit and talk to the kids and I think Laura really appreciated it. I didn't think that we got enough of Antonio but that was to be expected. I can see Erin going down a bad road. Charlie is really pressing her about owing him and he may want that very soon but I wonder just how far she is going to go. I am glad that Kevin got promoted even though I love Kim but I felt bad that the reason why Kim never got it was because Voight doesn't want romance between his team. I feel bad for Jin and a little for Sumner too. For me the best development had been from Jay. From the start you could see that he had a problem with the way that things were being dealt with even though he was the only one. He went to Adam and Erin and told them his feelings and even though he was alone because Adam was worried that he just came from the academy and worried for his job and taking orders, he still kept his morals in tact and instead of just turning the other eye like everyone else he went to see Antonio. I love that because you can see a bond forming between him and Tony and I think more than anyone Jay respects him. I love that Antonio confirmed for him that he needs to do the right thing. Him going to find Hank and Alvin at the docks had been a great way to show us that he is a character that struggles between being a good cop and going between the grey and it had been good for Alvin to hear that because it is what made him stop and think. The fangirl in me loved that cute nod of approval Jay got from Erin when they brought Pulpo in. The ending scene between Hank and Jay had been great too because you saw them really just finally bonding and I love that Hank told him that he respects him. Great episode from them. |

Sounds awesome. I think it's a pity for Kim that she didn't get promoted but I think Voight has been firm on wanting to avoid romance within the team. I hope Kevin doesn't emf up dying next week though

Getting an insight on these characters explains a lot of past behavior and choices they have made. I always figured Alvin was a broken, but didn't know why, and now I kind of do. When he went to his wife for comfort it just broke my heart. She could not be there for him...I was so sad for him. He told Voight he hasn't slept good in 20 years....this was a great episode for him.

I don't think so really. But we met her friend and we know that she owes Charlie but we don't know for what but the promo for next week tells us that it is all on her. It looks good.

It is interesting to hear that Alvin really became affected by the Browning thing and it shows that he really has grown because he refused to make the same mistake twice.

Yeah, I liked that Al listened to Jay in the end. And Hank ended up listening to Alvin.
