What arcs would you have wanted to see with Marissa?

I would have liked to see her really go to therapy, not just use it to put her in Oliver's path. I would have liked to see her explore her sexuality and decide she was bisexual. I would have liked to see her fully accept that her father was useless trash, lol.

I don't ultimately know what I would have wanted for her re: Ryan. I would have liked her to tell him that the issues in their relationship were not all her fault and he wasn't her victim. Also, that he found it convenient to fall back to her when other girls turned him down and/or he got in some sort of legal trouble.

I think Josh would not have gotten away with sacrificing Marissa's POV to the extent he did, especially about her sexual assault. But Ryan needed to face why he would go from comparing Marissa to girls like Jess, to calling her when he needed a getaway car and an alibi for the cops - which she gave without question, incidentally. Marissa was not nearly as prone to judging Ryan as a person as he was to her - and she also was not nearly as prone to it as other girls he dated.

That too, which is why it makes me laugh when people say Ryan didn't treat her badly in terms

For me, having a kind of...disdain for someone you are continually choosing to date, who you also rely on repeatedly to get you out of trouble, hits me harder than Marissa's mistakes because she wasn't looking down on Ryan as a person.
