So the event is next weekend - we should get some news!

stlavin95 08-13-2022 07:13 PM

Yes we will

Junk_Yard_Slut 08-14-2022 01:59 PM

Looking forward to hearing about it. Should be interesting!

stlavin95 08-14-2022 07:25 PM

No doubt

Cristofle 08-15-2022 04:50 PM

It's just very interesting because Mischa rarely talks much about The OC.

stlavin95 08-16-2022 12:43 AM

Definitely will be interesting to see what she says

They mentioned Mischa appearing at the convention on the podcast today, Tate was the guest for today's episode and they referred to next week as the 'Cooper family reunion'. Though no sign of Willa seemingly.

Tate was very complimentary of Mischa's acting in the Game Plan and particularly the college essay writing scene.

The weird thing about Tate is I never got the impression he and Mischa had a negative working relationship? They seem fine in bloopers and BTS clips. Honestly, I think he threw the most shade at Ben, lol, but he went after all of them at points and really, he should be criticizing Josh for whatever environment he was fostering.

stlavin95 08-17-2022 12:37 AM

Exactly, since it clearly wasn't a good environment at all.

Junk_Yard_Slut 08-17-2022 01:35 PM

Yes agreed, though I think Tate has calmed down a bit and admits he should have just trusted them all because they knew what they were doing and ultimately all delivered great performances.

But yes, absolutely something to be said about the work environment that was tolerated there, which despite their best attempts at hiding it, sounds like it was very toxic.

Tate directed the episode and he talks about the Johnny car crash scene in a positive manner (unsurprisingly, lol). Tate needs to re-watch the episode, because if I was Mischa I would have been done with the show by this episode too. Poor Mischa having to deal with the Johnny Show lol.

Cristofle 08-17-2022 04:07 PM

Honestly, I've said before, the scene where Johnny gets hit by the car is AMAZING, but not because it's super well directed or anything. It's because Ben and Mischa both seemed to kind of snap and just both decided to BARELY pretend to give a ****. Both of them did decent acting at other points in the episode, but that one moment was so ridiculous that I feel like they both were like "Nope, not going to participate beyond the bare minimum that could say I showed up to work today."

stlavin95 08-18-2022 01:59 AM

Lol, exactly

Cristofle 08-18-2022 05:46 PM

Ryan's face was so ambivalent, he COULD have been disappointed the car didn't finish the job, lol.

stlavin95 08-18-2022 07:56 PM

So true, lol
