I cannot even tell you how much I miss my favorite Korean BBQ joint. I get takeout to support the restaurant, but that's really a meal best at the restaurant, lol, because it's cooked at the table. But that seems like an EXTRA bad idea during a pandemic - yes, let's all cram into this tiny space, and share tables with strangers, and have FANS blowing our COVID air on each other.

I threw a temper tantrum on my own today because Instacart was such a nightmare (the app used to deliver groceries). I miss going to the grocery store and getting my own stuff. Sigh.

What was going on in the app?

LOL, so my mother actually ordered a curbside pickup from one place while I had ordered a delivery from the Asian grocery store roughly around the same time. In the pickup, I confirmed I was in the parking lot via the app, no one came out for about 20 minutes, the app decided to say my order was complete and my groceries had been given to me, and I spent another ten minutes on the phone. Then with the delivery, the first guy seemed totally out of it and could not find several things I needed. He checked out - and seemed to vanish. I have no idea what happened to him. So my order got bounced back, and another better delivery guy went through the store quicker, BUT because it had been about two hours, he was not able to find several items the first guy eventually had found, including what I wanted to make for dinner tonight. Which wouldn't be a big deal - except it's been snowing and sleeting all day, so I can't go get another pickup order and I am not going to make anyone deliver anything in this weather. Sigh.

Also, in my mother's order, beef sausage was replaced with turkey sausage without telling us and I really hate turkey, so that was annoying. I miss getting my own stufffffffff. But our COVID numbers are terrifying

Wow, that sounds like such a mess when it didn't need to be at all.

And there are some things I'd really like to get from the other Asian grocery store that's right behind my condo, BUT: they don't offer online shopping, delivery, or curbside pickup, AND they are are always completely and totally packed. People are wearing masks, but NO chance of social distancing. So that's a bust.
