Virginia has elections every year, though. We do our state house/senate elections on off-off years (so our next one will be 2021). I don't mind voting every year, but the stress of it can be draining, heh.

And I don't know how to fix that. If it would be so hard to be like "Let's condense this down A LOT." LOL. Because I think fatigue, along with not having the elections on weekends and not making elections a holiday, plays into our relative lack of civic participation in elections.
