I didn't dislike all of the episode - Mouth and Rachel trying to highlight to Jimmy that high school is not the beginning and end of the world was good. But some of it was so silly.

Also, I've said before, it's rarely as simple in school shootings as "sweet kid got bullied into it." It's a dangerous stereotype that tends to further isolate kids who are already struggling and by and large have no intention of becoming violent.

Or have someone who was more indicative of being capable of violence? Don't just have Jimmy be a pathetic sack - it doesn't HAVE to be one thing. Sometimes you can be both bullied and a bully. Show Jimmy having an increasing level of violence as he lashes out.

Honestly, seeing him between his appearances would have made the school shooting a lot more effective.

Yeah, see him start to pick on people who also don't have much power. That's common with school shooters. If they feel alienated in some way, they won't take it out on powerful people - they'll punch down.
