Thanks for the new thread! Chris is so charming, I really wish Mischa and him had more scenes together.

They were so lovely in later S1. Just not appreciated enough in their time.

Like, around the Theresa time I was thinking Marissa may have made the wrong decision, lol. Of course, there was Julie, but I blame Julie for that.

Really hated that whole Julie/Luke thing, especially in the day and age.

That was just another unnecessary betrayal for Marissa.

I wish they would have been explored more as friends, or even during the Theresa time, maybe Marissa could have found some self-esteem and spent more time with Luke... it would have been interesting to see her drawn to Luke's comfort and stability.

I mean…Julie raped Luke. That’s the law. Never acknowledged.

Yeah, poor Luke.

Isn't there some passing mention on the show that Luke is 18? I think they mentioned that the network demanded that in order for the storyline to proceed. Not that it makes anything better, still predatory, still massive power differentials between them. But of course they would think that it suddenly makes it all okay.

Just really disappointing overall, especially from his dad storyline onwards, there's a lot they could have done to evolve Luke further.

That would have been a massive rewrite if he was. Given that they were all supposed to be sophomores.
