They DO have a lot of older shows- X-Files. Buffy. Angel, ETC. And they have all the Law and Order shows. Once and Again just seems problematic, and I can't think of a reason why- it's not like Cold Case, which probably has a bitch of a time attaining all the song rights because music played such an important factor in the show.

Hi, I stumbled onto this site whilst looking for any new info on S3 dvd. Not to get anyone excited, but pulled this off the wiki site:
'Lionsgate announced the re-release of all three seasons of Once and Again on DVD.'
I have not been able to verify this anywhere. Only other mention I could find is on Amazon where people were merely suggesting that Lionsgate do so. Wonder if anyone else has heard anything at all? Anyway, long time fan of the show here. I'm fortunate enough to have all 3 seasons on dvd. BTW - all the episodes are available online for those who want to find them. Really hope that Lionsgate actually will release them.

That would be awesome. But I've not seen anything on a release date.

What kills me is they did commentary for an S3 release. Like, seriously?

stuntdog 10-25-2012 09:44 AM

I remember reading that too. If I recall correctly there were a few episodes with commentary. At this point I kind of wished someone somewhere would of nabbed one of these display dvds and burned copies. They would of made a bundle. ;)

They could at least put the episodes up on Netflix or Hulu or something.

Thought I'd share some of this interview I stumbled onto with co-creator Marshall Herskovitz:
Quote:

I feel that programming decisions today are based on a cynical view of the audience. That the audience has ADD and is incredibly fickle and not interested in a deep emotional experience. I don’t think there’s any evidence that is true, but it’s their assumption.

We (Herskovitz and Zwick) have a deal at Fox Studios to work on things together. We’re excited to see if we can figure out how to do TV in this world.
New show from the creators of My So Called Life and Once & Again. Sign me up!

I agree about the cynical view of the audience, which is why I liked Once and Again. Reminds me now a bit of Friday Night Lights- really people, real emotions.

Have yet to see Friday Night Lights, but have seen Katim's Parenthood. I like it, but IMHO it falls well short of Once & Again. Mostly in that it'll pull it's punches and be schmaltzy at times.

I think Peter Berg was also hugely influential in FNL.

Unfortunately, I don't think the producers of this show have done a TV show together since.

Not bad quality!
