Hope Lost #1: Mischa Barton is a whore. There, I said it! ;)
http://www.mischa-b.com/gallery/albu...normal_001.jpg Hope Lost Mischa Barton (The O.C.) and Danny Trejo (Machete Kills) have signed on to star in Hope Lost, a new crime thriller being financed and produced by Italian company AMBI Pictures. B-movie favorites Michael Madsen (Sin City) and Daniel Baldwin (Vampires) have signed on to co-star in the feature set in the world of sex trafficking. Italian director David Petrucci will helm the feature. Shooting is set to kick off later this month in Rome. Barton will play a young Romanian girl, bored with small town life, who dreams of entering the glamorous world she sees on Italian soap operas. One night at a club she meets Gabriele, who claims to be a TV producer who wants to cast her in a reality TV show he is making in Italy. But when she arrives, she is sold to the pimp Manol ( Madsen) and forced to make her living on the street. Things get darker with the arrival of Ettore (Trejo), a sadist who makes snuff movies. AMBI toppers Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi will produce Hope Lost together with Cosetta Turco. Danielle Maloni is the executive producer. The feature is the latest on AMBI’s slate, which includes the Phillip Roth adaptation The Humbling, which Barry Levinson is attached to direct and has Al Pacino, Mandy Patinkin, Kyra Sedgwick, Charles Grodin and Dianne Wiest attached to star. The Rome-based group recently wrapped production on the action thriller Sights of Death, which stars Danny Glover, Daryl Hannah and Rutger Hauer alongside Madsen and Stephen Baldwin. THR |
LOL, Sam.
This is her second recently-ish film about sex trafficking. Maybe it's an issue she's passionate about? |
Could be. But it's also the kind of role that I see her gravitating towards just in general.
Although, it would be nice for her to bring some light to the topic as it's not discussed that much in the media. But I guess even just making movies about it will bring some attention to the topic. And it's also nice to see her playing different sides of the story. In Beyond Justice, she's a lawyer. In this, she's the victim. |
According to IMDB its being released June 20th in the US! Man I really hope this is true, that would be the fastest any of Mischa's films was released.

That seems miraculous.
I'd be stunned! That seems too quick even for major projects, lol.
LOL, out of context, that's kind of hilarious.
I'm trying to figure out if she's wearing a wig or not?
Would make for a good caption contest.
Didn't her hair look like that for like five seconds? Or maybe that WAS a wig, lol.
Yeah, right before she went to shoot this is when she cut her hair. And then all of a sudden she was brunette. And then two weeks later, back to the exact style and cut before the movie.
Unless there is some temporary colour thing they use these days? |
I remember her hair being short and brunette VERY briefly.
I think I like it? LOL. I like how gritty it is, given the subject matter.
