I always expected him to have a better career. Also I just really wanted him on so someone would share my sentiment of shock that he is not a natural brunette but is actually blonde. IDK why this shocked me, lol. It suited him so well as Oliver!

I really hate how they brought Kaitlin in to serve the Johnny storyline. At no point does Marissa ever indicate she has feelings for Johnny, only that she is able to talk to him. But when she is suddenly silent in 3.13 / 3.14 when Kaitlin pushes her about it is very frustrating to watch even now.

3.13 is a mess in no small part because Marissa looks closer to a hostage than someone who is attracted whenever Johnny is within fifteen feet of her, so it's just so...not believable?

I can't decide what my favourite scene between them is, when Mischa visibly rolls her eyes at the "upsetting a lady" line or when she sighs when she mistakes him for Ryan at the part, lol.

Mischa actually gets more aggravated as the Johnny storyline goes on, lol, so by 3.13ish, she looked more likely to call the cops on him than hit on him or something.

LOL, I don't blame Mischa at all. Even if it was a different actor or someone more Marissa's type, I am not sure I would buy the storyline as it played out - I can't think of a scene where we are supposed to see this great ~connection (though we are told about it a lot) and buy that Marissa is attracted / has genuine feelings for him.

Would also like to thank God we at least never saw an actual kiss between then. Possibly the only saving grace of the episodes, lol.

I think it was probably multiple factors for Mischa. She was clearly being mistreated behind the scenes at that point. She was being blamed for fan reaction by Josh at least. She must have known what Johnny would bring about after she'd worked really hard in S2 to turn things around, even though her role was pretty dramatically reduced. And it's clear she did not work well with Ryan D onscreen - it may not have been personal (although the car footage is certainly interesting, lol, as is her strange aggression in scenes that clearly did not call for it). But she had to know they weren't working well together in terms of chemistry. Also, he seemed unfamilar with television.

I can't remember! I have not rewatched in a longgg time, lol. I just remember she visibly flinched. It wasn't AS bad as Paris Hilton on Veronica Mars, who was so clueless about her mark that Jason Dohring looked like he wanted to jump into the ocean and not come out, but it was sort of along that "Have you ever worked on TV before?" lines.
