Thanks for the new thread!

Reading the end of the last thread, and remembering the high hopes we had for the third season. I would have never believed anyone if they had told me that Marissa would never speak all she has been through, would never discuss her trauma and would have no one listening to her.

It's so odd to me that people say she was a mess. She went through the most traumatic events of her life (the assault and shooting) and didn't act out, she put Ryan first, she tried to protect him. She handled with so much maturity.

I really wish she would have had a chance to speak to Ryan, just once, about everything she had been through.

So on this week's podcast episode - it's the Johnny cliff episode, they had one of the editor's on (apparently Ryan D. was too busy to come on the podcast, and it seemed like no one else wanted to guest star for this one even the editor did so reluctantly, lol).

- They mentioned that the original script for the S3 finale involved a car crash into a lake? Apparently OTH did something very similar at the same time so they had to re-write it. (IDK, did Josh think viewers want to see Marissa drown?!)

- A fan also asked a question directed at Josh, who Rachel texted, whether at this point he was considering getting rid of Marissa, to which he just responded "no" to. Which I am not sure I believe at all, lol.

I literally just burst out laughing. Dude was probably like "...I am busy...eating a hamburger counts as busy, right?" Hard to blame him, lol.

And if no one mocked the music, what is even the point of anything.

HOW can you address that episode and not the James Blunt song. He...literally fell...at her feet.

I have laughed every single time I've seen that scene because it is SO ridiculous.

The editor guest did mention on that episode that originally they had another song in mind but that they could not get the band's approval (I'll try and go back to figure out who that was) and so Josh suggested this "kind of on the nose" song by James Blunt. "Kind of" is the understatement of the century, lol.

I feel terrible but I also found it very funny that Ryan D. was too busy. I believed Olivia Wilde when she used that excuse to not go on.

I really wish they would have managed to get Taylor Hanley on the show. Honestly, he was great as Oliver and how disliked Oliver is in part a testament to his portrayal (in a good way, unlike Johnny lol).
