Top post is a little empty cause I'm actually struggling to find any press write-ups on this film.
This is a brief synopsis from an article in The Spectrum:

The movie is about a slacker/stoner dude named Ben Banks (obviously) who finds a passion for journalism and a former porn star named Amy. Somewhere along the line, Banks makes friends with a massive polygamist mechanic, confronts a series of "bad guys" and makes efforts to turn his life around.

Banks says has enjoyed working with some “known-names” like Hardin, whom he describes as “super-rad” and “down to earth.” He’s also excited to shoot scenes with Mischa Barton of “The O.C.” fame, who plays the role of Amy, Banks’ love interest. Barton will be in town for the final week of shooting.
Although Banks says there is no “real Amy” in his life, he is optimistic about filming the kissing scenes opposite a famous actress.
“Pretty much looking forward to it,” he says with a grin.

Production on the movie started August 9th, while Mischa was only present on set for the final week. So I guess she started somewhere around the 23rd.
Also, all the social networking places seem to be looking at 2011 for a release date. Since this is an indie, we'll most likely be looking for it to make the rounds at all the festivals. |
