Having that problem down here at the moment because 7 players from one Rugby League club are refusing to play this week because their team is going to wear pride jersey.

Oh, FFS. IMAGINE that. And they complain about the "politically correct police" or whatever and meanwhile, I've never encountered a bigger group of snowflakes. Is that Pride jersey harming you personally? Is it too much for you delicate senses to even witness?

It's even more insane considering people are complaining about politics being in sport when a) equal rights aren't politics and b) rugby league flat out wouldn't exist if it wasn't for politics.

Yeah, part of me chafes at being told that being pro LGBT and pro BLM is so political, when I feel like it's just...ethical. But also, change happens with politics? LOL. Some of these things have to be "political". It's literally how we decide to govern our society.

I always go to Trayvon Martin with BLM. It was essentially ruled that Trayvon's mere existence was a viable enough threat that killing him wasn't a crime. That's...depraved. And that doesn't feel political to me. Sure, some of the changes I want are political, but simply saying his life should have mattered more than that isn't political to me.
