It didn't wow me honestly. I prefer WIR. But I'm also sure that after more listens I'll like it more & some songs will stand out to me. I can definitely do without Santa Baby :sick:

I do like it, not sure if it beats WIR but WIR I had to warm up to as well to several songs... But i do feel like this is a very different album and she sounds great! |

Her songs are good. I think she picked better covers last time though. Her take on Christmas itself though is going to be different between the albums. She's experienced more & in a different place to where she was when WIR was released. It isn't fair to compare them. Hard not to in my head though unfortunately :pout: Anyone else notice that she has writing credits on five tracks, same as she did on WIR? (not including the deluxe songs on WCCA) Interesting summary/review of the album |
I think due to it being a christmas album you compare it to her other christmas album, though I don't otherwise compare albums, at least not hers since they are usually so very different from one another..
Hi Mimica,, glad you were able to listen to it and feel like a few songs deserve a re-listen. I feel like the Ariana/Kelly duet is very radio friendly, and I actually enjoy it since the other songs aren't necessarily fun christmas songs, so this feels a bit more joyful :lol: I am interested to see if they plan on making this a song they could duet together on The Voice perhaps.. I'd enjoy it at least! and by far our only chance perhaps for that to happen :lol: |

Yeah it probably is because it is a Christmas album. Normally I wouldn't compare either. It is only my memory comparing too as it isn't like I have listened to WIR since last Christmas :lol:
