hmm that's helpful to have those mixed messages. It seems silly to not test for cancer just in case, especially since it can be better to find it early. But maybe not all do? Or only do it for certain people. Would make more sense to do for all though. In saying that I had a doctor seem to dismiss me & didn't really want to send me for a breast scan once when I found a lump because of my age (& I have a history of breast cancer in my family). So doctors are stupid. I presume the same could be said for ones over there. Frustratingly
 You'd think at one point they'd test for it as you said two years is a LONG time.  __________________

yeah I just think some doctors don't test for things when they should.
 I was lucky to have an amazing doctor who did everything right and found my cancer early almost 6 years ago, I wish my dad had a good doctor like that! they really are stupid.  right?? like I get my dad thought it was a flare up in his back but they should've found it. __________________

Sara, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. That's so awful. The disregard for people's intuition and lack of follow through on testing is something that I feel is going to rear it's head in the medical community one of these days.

It baffles me that they wouldn't have checked at some point in all of that time. Doesn't make sense...
