In the beginning, we were introduced to Logan Echolls and Duncan Kane through Veronica Mars, our clever heroine. A long time ago... they used to be friends. But everything changed when Lilly Kane died. Lilly was Veronica's best friend, Duncan's sister and Logan's girlfriend. And everytime we see flashbacks of these four together, we are surged with a feeling of surreal nostalgia.

After Lilly's death, Veronica's relationship with the two guys left have changed forever. Duncan was her first love - her only love - but not for long. She eventually realized her feelings for Logan as well. We believe that Veronica loved both guys differently BUT equally. They've both been written separately well and, though, neither of them ended up with Veronica - they will always and forever be Veronica's boys. Out of all the other romantic relationships she had and however cute and less-complicated the other boys might be (Troy, Leo, Piz, etc?), these two will always remain the loves of her life.

No matter which two have the better real life chemistry... plot-wise and in the universe of Neptune, Logan and Duncan both stand equal ground in Veronica's heart.

Some of us are happy that neither of them ended up with Veronica because it's not about the destination, after all. It's about the journey. And her relationship with both boys were her best chapters. And besides, who cares about happy endings? Veronica Mars is no fairytale. It's better than that.
