Gilmore Girls Discussion Thread No. 3 ~ Where are They Now?

I still want to see Luke in a tux -- with flashes of their wedding. I'll feel gypped otherwise. Previous Thread __________________

Yes they can do that through the magic of DVD and not some cheese flashbacks.
I did suggest as part of the intro they could have a montage of new scenes instead of the ones used in the normal show credits. __________________

Luke in a tux would be a site to behold, I agree. I am so anxious to see what ASP's new show is like. I hope it takes off.

I just think after all this time a tv movie dedicated to L&L getting married would be out of place, either it would be set 5 years ago, which is tricky to pull off since they have to redress the town and lets face it most of the cast is going to look a little different. Or worst still it took them another 5 years to get married? But having say Rory getting married or some other event could work, they could redress the town but it can be a little different being 5 years later and younger cast like April wouldn't look out of place. Plus if it was a Rory (plus some guy) wedding then Luke could still be in a Tux. I guess the debate then would be who would see marry, some still want Dean to return but IMO it would be wither Logan or someone new. What about the usual twist where it is someone else but her exs like Logan and Dean show up? Oh the drama LOL __________________

Ugh, but I don't want a TV movie revolving around Rory's wedding..

Well if not Rory's wedding then what other event would Luke ever where a Tux to?

I agree Craig. It would have to be set in the present time. I'd hate for it to be 5 years later and L/L are just getting married. I'd be fine with it being Rory's.

I liked Marty, maybe they ran into each other a few years later, and hit it off.

Personally I don't flash backs for things like this, a more artistic way would be to have L&L on the couch watching TV, the camera behind them so we see the TV as well.
Wayne Wilcox (Marty) seams to be mostly doing theater work since GG. __________________

If a movie ever happens they will need to put a lot of work and thought into it because the expectations are so HIGH. They won't be able to satisfy everyone. It sure is a lot of pressure to get it right. It almost makes me nervous, if they do it and it is not good....ugh, that would be horrible . That happens a lot. I would rather the movie not happen and just keep the memories of what we got with the series ending, than be disappointed with a movie that doesnt live up to what fans want. I guess we have to wait and see...

I total get what you're saying, 90 minutes is not a lot of time. Maybe they need a 2 part mini series
