Welcome to the First appreciation thread for Hilarie Burton and Elisabeth Harnois. You can currently check out these two talented actresses on One Tree Hill. They are also co-stars in the upcoming movie Solstice, which is set for a Winter 07' release.



Audiences are familiar with Hilarie Burton from her work as one of MTV's hottest VJs. Today, Hilarie plays Peyton Sawyer, the fiercely independent, high school student on the hit drama One Tree Hill.

Born and raised in Loudoun County, Virginia, with her three brothers, she developed a passion for acting early in life. Shortly after moving to New York to pursue her dream, she landed the coveted job of VJ at MTV. As a host of TRL, MTV's wildly popular request show, and various MTV specials, she interviewed the most talked-about people in entertainment, from Angelina Jolie to Ben Affleck.

In 2005, Hilarie made her feature film debut in, Our Very Own, a comedy/drama set in Nashville, Tennessee, in the 1970s. Co-starring with Allison Janney and Jason Ritter.

Hilarie has completed Principal Photography on three films - The List, Solstice and Normal Adolescent Behavior.



Elisabeth Harnois was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved with her family to southern California at age 2. She began acting a year later, and soon starred in the features One Magic Christmas and Where Are the Children. Her success continued when she played the classic character of Alice in the Disney Movie Of the Week, "Adventures in Wonderland", for which she won a Youth in Film award for her performance, and the show was awarded multiple Emmys. She went on to guest star on such series as "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", "Boy Meets World", "Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place", and "Charmed". She also starred opposite John Corbett in the CBS MOW, "The Warlord", and she played the title role in ABC's highly rated MOW, "My Date With the President's Daughter". After being accepted to Wesleyan University in Connecticut, Elisabeth shot two independent films: Facade, for which she received critical acclaim for her portrayal of a mentally unstable teenager, and Swimming Upstream. In the spring of 2004, Elisabeth was the lead in the Fox pilot "Point Pleasant", which has been ordered for 13 episodes and has started airing in January. In addition to Strangers With Candy, she also shot Pretty Persuasion this past summer, opposite Evan Rachel Wood, James Woods and Ron Livingston for director Marcos Siega.
