Episode 5.16 - "So...Good Talk"

CHANGES OF HEART–— Richard (Edward Herrmann) and Emily (Kelly Bishop) return from their second honeymoon and Rory (Alexis Bledel) attends the customary Friday night dinner, but an angry Lorelai (Lauren Graham) refuses to see or speak to Emily. Rory surprises everyone with a rare outburst at her grandmother for interfering in Lorelai’s love life. Miserable without Lorelai, Luke’s (Scott Patterson) dark mood causes him to burn the food and throw any customers who complain out the door of the diner. Emily pays an unexpected visit to the diner to talk to Luke. Meanwhile, Lane (Keiko Agena) is horrified when she realizes that her mother has more influence over her than she thought. Melissa McCarthy and Sean Gunn also star.

Ooh i cant wait for her outburst either. Will be good to see her lose her temper to defend her mom.

But im sad there is no Logan in this episode, especially after how it ended last week. Hope she talks about him today.

Wow. She was really good at being mean to Emily.

She also seemed very college-studenty. The perfect level of maturity.

Also, I can't decided yet whether or not I was surprised that she told Lorelai about the sex with Logan. I just don't know. It's good that she did because it's nice to know that they still have that sort of relationship. We haven't seen proof in a while. Although, things could get weird if Lorelai finds out that Rory and Logan are still seeing other people. I don't know if she will. Probably not. There's not enough time in next week's ep for that whole story line. So, I don't know. I just don't know.


P.S. This isn't about Alexis, but I'm sure some people were disappointed that the LL reunion didn't have a huge build up or any conversation whatsoever, but I really liked it. They both just knew that talking wasn't necessary because they needed each other. It was a lot like when Richard and Emily got back together. No conversation was needed.

Alexis was amazing in this episode. I loved it when Rory blew up at Emily. She so deserved it, I was scared that Rory was just going to sit there and not say anything and I was so glad that she did.

I forgot to mention this in my last post, but there is one thing that is truly bothersome about Alexis that was particularly apparent this evening: she is just too damn pretty.
Sometimes I hate her. Now, be honest here ladies, I know you hate her sometimes too. It's just not fair. Ugh. Not fair at all.

Her going off on Emily... wonderful! (Although I was hoping for a full out touge lashing like Lorelai would have done) She was also wonderful with Logan tonight, you can definatly start to see the strings there. And I am very happy she talked to Lorelai. I think the reason the seeing other people thing didn't come up is because she already has it just planned as temporary.

Alexis did a great job in this episode. Her attitude towards her grandparents was perfect. Loved the girl talk between Rory and Lane and Rory and Lorelai. I was glad to see Logan since so many people said he wasn't going to be in this episode. But the no strings thing is starting to piss me off. It's so obvious that there are strings so just make it official already!

Oh wow I loved Rory in this episode. She was just great!

Firstly my fave part...her and Logan. I didnt think he was in todays because everyone kept saying he wasnt so i was so excited when i saw his name in the credits. I love the coffee cart scene. It was so cute. Him paying for her, and then just needing to kiss her. There's all that passion yet they still have that bantering thing going on, it was too cute. And then Logan coming back from his trip to be with her. It was great. The no strings isnt bothering me, because there are so strings whether they say it or not.

I loved Rory at dinner with the grandparents. It was almost as funny as Lorelai's hanging up on Emily and talking to Richard. I loved how she was so short with Emily and then chatty with Richard. And she was great...not too rude, but not forgiving either.

I loved that she told Lorelai about Logan too. I dont think Lorelai will find out about the no strings deal either, because seems those strings will be there very soon. Anyhow i loved the mother/daughter scenes.

And lastly i was happy to see some Rory/Lane again. They were being best friends again which was great. And i loved when Rory was like "You're making me sound a little ****ty". Hehe

Alexis rocked all her scenes last night.

Rory/Emily: I thought was prefect, she didn’t know into theatrics, no screaming fit, just honest and blunt. She’s hurt, she’s angry and she’s not going to pretend nothing happened.

Rory/Lorelai: I love that she stood up for her mom and Luke. And it was great that she told her about Logan. Rory/Lorelai and their relationship is the core of the show and I’m glad it back.

Rory/Lane: LOL. Poor Lane, I love their friendship. The ****ty comment was funny as hell.

Rory/Logan: I don’t think it’s possible for me to love them more. Cute, flirty wonderful goodness.

OK, so yet again, I've only seen a few clips of this episode. But every bit of those clips were good! ) Loved the coffe cart scene. Loved her 'What does that make' lines. She had such a funny expression on her face when she said that.

Also, I liked the scene with Lorelei. Glad to see Rory telling Lorelai about Logan.

Now, I just need to find a clip of Rory's outburst and the discussion with Lane. Maybe the spoiler thread...
