The previews look really good. I can't wait to see all the Rory/Logan scenes. I hope that Marty doesn't cause too much trouble between them.

Rory is looking really good in the previews. Her hair is longer and darker than before.
I miss Marty. He's such a cutie. There's something a little Tom Hanks-ish about him. Logan looks like a girl. In that last episode when Paris made that crack about Logan looking like the fourth BeeGee I just DIED because it is so true.
Anyway, this post was sort of stupid and pointless, but I really want to know if my Fan Status will change at 50 posts. I don't know how this stuff works. Hmm.

ETA: SCORE!!! I'm out of the stupid Dorky McDork "New Fan" stage. Finally!

I just saw it and I have to admit something to you guys: I'm starting to like this new Whorey Rory. I don't know how and I don't know why, but I do. It's either the writing or Alexis or a nice combination of both, but Rory has evened out a bit. At first it was either old naive Rory or new embarrassingly forward Rory, but it's gotten to a point where it's just... 20 year-old Rory. I like it. It works.

*Going crasy with 1:35 left to go* (DAMN PST!) The previews definatly lend to this being an amazing episode. Expesially since she's wearing light blue again, and that color has ALWAYS been a good episode omen for me!

For RL clips there's Holli's site Intense. I'm not sure when she usually has them up. I don't know about other clips with Rory.

Well GG was pretty good not a fav, eppy but funny. I love the fact that LuLu actuly had some lines this eppy. I hope her character keeps involing into the story because I live her and Kirk there so cute. Kirk in the play was funny. OMG Luke and Lorelai at the end I almost cried I was like come one Luke say something to her. Crazy Carrie is such a whore, I so wanted to slap her when she grabes Luke's butt infron of Lorelai. I also felt sorry for Marty. I know how he feels when you have no money its hulmating and then he tells Rory that he likes her and she says I like Logan. I wish she would have said something like I like you too, but as a friend. Not jsut say I like Logan. I coudl just see the hurt in his eyes. I loved how in the end when Logan came up and kissed her and Rory said " I thought you said a proper good night" and took his jacket off. Logan's line at the end was a tad gross butt funny. About Lorelai's garage I thought it was a bit much. I was liek Luke wtf... But I liked there fight sceen and at the end of the fight lorelai was on the verge of tears I wanted to hug her and luke. I can't waite till next week

One additional thing, now that I'm coing off of my R/L high.

The play thing seemed to take up a bit TOO much of the eposide tonight. I mean it woulda been nice if they had rearranged it so that Logan had come back in the :30-:45 minute window instead of the:45-:60 minute. Was great and all, but it seemed like they went a little overboard with the town thing tonight.

Lol... I thought it was hilarious, and completely showed how much he wanted her :dirty: (I know, but we need a smiley for that)

Just saw the episode and i loved it. I like Marty as Rory's friend so it was nice to see them hanging out together. I loved seeing Rory make an effort with Marty and not let him ignore her, even though she knew he was trying to avoid her.

It was so sad when he told her he liked her, but he so knew she likes Logan and i hope they still be friends.

As for RL, i LOVED them. I really wish there was a bit more, like Yargnit said, he seemed to come into the episode really late. But still i loved it anyway. And his line at the end was funny! There so needs to be a dirty smilie. Hehe.

I am loving this new Rory. She's still the same girl she was but she's more willing to take risks with Logan and thats so great to see.

I agree about the play taking up too much time though. There was lots of times where they were showing the actual play being acted out and it just wasnt funny or anything and it was wasting precious time that could have been devoted to Rory/Logan.

Alright, here are a flood of my thoughts, sorry for the lengthy post.

This episode was written by ASP? Really? For the first 45 minutes, despite the assumption my literacy is up to snuff, I was not so sure. Superfluous Townie filler plot, only redeemable by the grudgingly-anticipated 2-minute "fight" between Luke and Lorelai letting us know what we painfully know: they belong together! Not much drama, only a few references (personal favorite: shout-out to the Plastics during the cafeteria scene), lack of irreverent humor... where in the world was ASP, or rather, what was she high on, or not high on? If she's accustomed to her "magic pills," as she facetiously loves to refer to pulling a Judy Garland as credit for this 5th season's resurgence, heck, let the woman partake. In fact, the first half hour was so distracting I have no idea what happened except for usual-hilarious Paris (hey, that rhymes!) coercing her sexual history upon a cool-but-not-that-Rick-Solomon Lorelai.

Even Rory leaning laying her legs all over Marty, cooing his ATM-woes after dinner, taking the word "platonic" way way way beyond societal definition, less than a Duck Soup's duration before slamming Marty's "I like you" with a "I like [no pause] Logan" - even all that transpired after the midpoint.

Poor Marty. Rory is either a fierce tease or mellifluously purblind. Sure, Rory was begging, pleading, and leg-laying (would be egg-laying if they were actually together, I suppose) Marty, but she clearly had no romantic notions with p-p-p-poor Marty. Especially not when her Ace-caller is twirling her hair much to her delightful non-repulsion and not when her Ace-caller has no escape plan after window-beckoning activities.

Maybe ASP forgot her timing, or maybe Rory was planning a quiet subterfuge, because last week Logan told Rory he was coming back Saturday night, which Rory suggested as Marty catch-up time. And yet, she seemed completely surprised when Logan came a-knocking.

But... like Rory, I like [no pause] Logan, too, a lot. There is nothing at this moment I dislike about him. He is rich, so yeah, let him pay for that expensive-but-likely-not-authentic Chinese food, especially after he points out that since he invited Rory and Marty, he should pay. That was nice. He is cute, so yeah, let him into your bed, especially after he asks a self-deceived "no strings attached, so come hither" Rory at least twice if she should reject her youthful hormones. He is not typical committed-boyfriend material, so yeah, let him tell you his detailed schedule and aim his homing missile (no double entendre intended) at your door the moment he returns.

Next week, I hope to speak more of Lorelai/Emily and Lorelai/Rory, as this episode had little to offer except adding fuel to my Rory/Logan bandwagon.

First of all, great posts everyone! You make jealous as I'm not good at analyzing like all of you are!

OK, so I just watched the R/L clips from Holli's site and I liked the Rory and Logan moments in this episode. The 'I miss you' at the door, the hair-twirling, the kissing...

Yeah, the new more brave Rory is fun to watch (the bits I've seen at least).

I thought it was nice of him too, but on the other hand I understand why Marty was upset. If I was in the same situation, I would probably get upset too. But enough about Marty. I thought it was thoughtful (for lack of a better word) of Logan to ask Rory (twice) if he should leave. It shows that he really cares for her IMO.

Mandy - I had to edit out the last bit of your post because it was a spoiler.
