Robert Rodriguez ("Spy Kids," "Once Upon a Time in Mexico") and comic book icon Frank Miller co-direct "Sin City," based on the series of graphic novels created, written, and illustrated by Miller. "Sin City" is infested with criminals, crooked cops and sexy dames, some searching for vengeance, some for redemption and others, both. The film incorporates storylines from three of Miller's graphic novels including 'Sin City,' which launched the long-running, critically acclaimed series, as well as 'That Yellow Bastard' and 'The Big Fat Kill.'

Rodriguez, along with Miller, translated these legendary stories from page to screen by remaining absolutely faithful to the look, feel and dialogue of the books.

"Sin City" stars Bruce Willis as Hartigan, a cop with a bum ticker and a vow to protect stripper Nancy (Jessica Alba); Mickey Rourke as Marv, the outcast misanthrope on a mission to avenge the death of his one true love, Goldie (Jaime King), and Clive Owen as Dwight, the clandestine love of Shelley (Brittany Murphy), who spends his nights defending Gail (Rosario Dawson) and her Old Towne girls (Devon Aoki and Alexis Bledel) from Jackie Boy (Benicio Del Toro), a dirty cop with a penchant for violence.

I can't wait! Alexis is sooo gorgeous, it'll be interesting to find out whether she can act diferenty to the way she portrays Rory, and I wonder if shes got any provocative scenes, I mean I know she dosent appear nude (as far as I know) but still it'll be interesting to see if Alexis can make the sex symbol thing work, playing a prostitute. Up until now she hasnt had the opportunity to be anything too far from Rory.

i hoped she would have gotten a longer role but oh well you take what you can .

wow is this some sort of movie alexis is in? i watched the clip and its great seeing her play something outside a girl thats sweet and innocent ..

I think Alexis is just a cameo in the movie but I don't know for sure.

No - Actually the part - although somewhat small is definitely not a cameo role.

She plays a prostitute named Becky that does a thing that affects the story line and she suffers some consequences. I am trying to keep away from spoiling it for anyone.

It is a good, first role in working with Robert Rodriguez. It may lead to her playing a role in a spanish-language movie; which she has said she wants to do. It also may lead to other roles working for Rodriguez.

I have no idea how well she does in this movie (how well acted and so forth). I would recommend reading Frank Miller's The Big Fat Kill for additional story information.

I'm really excited for this movie, even though she only has a secondary part. It's different from everything else she has done before and she's working with an incredible cast. I love Josh Hartnett and Brittany Murphy.

IMDB has it released for April 1st 2005.

While a good number of his movies have taken place in Mexico, I don't think Robert Rodriguez has done any spanish language work since El Mariachi. And I kinda took her answer to that question in Latina magazine as an obligatory answer. She really couldn't politely answer "no."

That said being in a Robert Rodriguez film is good since he has a reputation for doing things fast and cheap. Thus unlike Bride and Prejudice there is no reason why the short time she took filming will preclude her role from being meaningful. Plus he is rather good at hyping his projects.

From what I can gather Becky is a small, but important role and potentially juicy if Alexis takes advantage of it.

That will be so great I haven't heard of it before, so now I'm really excited for it. I've downloaded this 15 sec video and I have to say that it looks pretty interesting I'm really curious how will Alexis play her role. It's very different from all of her previous roles.

And the cast looks amazing: Jessica Alba, Elijah Wood, Maria Bello, Bruce Willis, Benicio Del Toro, Josh Hartnett...

i have a question.was she asked to read for sin city or did she just decide to go and audition for it and got the part.
