Hello, and welcome to Fan Forum. :) Images aren't allowed in signatures here so that's why your image isn't showing up in your signature. For more information, please go to this thread:

Hey guys,
I didn´t find another thread, so I thought I´d post my problem here.
I´m trying to change my signature for a while now, but no matter what I do, it always tells me I use more than 5 lines, which is not true. I even tried it with 2 lines and it was the same.

Any ideas why this might happen?

I just wanted to ask the same  I already tried with 5, 4 and 3 lines and it won´t let me edit it and that really sucks.

Sometimes that happens to me too. But I'm thinking it could be because when you bold/italicise/underline fonts, the tags you use for it may use up the five line space. I'm not sure though, but that's how it happened to me :D

It just depends on what the problem actually is

I've had problems with changing my sig before...it said it was more than five lines when it wasn't :look:

I actually just kept trying and after about the 5th time it let me save it

i tried 10 times and it wouldn´t let me change it :(

no, that´s not it. I had three written lines in the field and still it said it´s too long
and now I saved a new signature with just two lines and at the end I have a signature which is a mix of my old and my new signature

Steffi, I have the same problem. I wanted to have a blank line in between my quote and the links, but it kept saying it was too long as well.

I've brought this to Rachel's attention and she'll have another look at it when she has some spare time.

You're only allowed 100 characters per line (adjusted for font size). If you try to create a sig with more than 100 characters in a line, the software will automatically add its own line breaks and your sig may end up with more lines than you think it has. I think tags and URLs may be considered in the 100 character limit.

Oh thanks for the information. I have to check that 100 characters per line thingy now.

Okay so this is a stupid question, but how do I check the "100 characters?"

~Jewel~ 12-06-2006 04:10 AM

Okay, I tried again a thousand times. :( And it won´t work. Here´s what I want in my sig. With changed brackets of course:

(SIZE="1")(i)(center):star:(url=http://jewel2502.livejournal.com)
Jule(/url):star:
(COLOR="PaleGreen")A hug is worth a thousand words,
a friend is worth more(/COLOR)
(url)http://www.fanforum.com/f211/)(/url)
Bryan Greenberg(/url) l (url=http://www.fanforum.com/f251)
Zac Efron(/url)
A big  to my sis(COLOR="SeaGreen")Anna(/COLOR)
(/CENTER)(/I)(/SIZE)

Please let me know if there´s anything wrong with the sig.
