Please welcome our newest Communications Team members
 

We are currently looking to add new members to the Fan Forum Communications Team. This team is a group of people who use their time to find websites to link to relating topics at Fan Forum. This team also updates our Social network sites (Tumblr, LJ and Facebook) with news, milestones and events that many Fan Forum boards post.

The position entails is the following:

• Update social networking sites on Fan Forum issues, events, board celebrations, watching parties, moderator openings, board customizations and other Fan Forum interests.
  
• Promote the requests board polls at the beginning of each month, and any new forums that were added.
  
• Look for affiliates for Fan Forum, linking popular websites to our popular boards to facilitate an interconnected web.
  
• Use skills and knowledge you gain to help expand Fan Forum.
  
• Help select and write a Board Spotlight each month.
  
• Answer questions and issues that are posted to the social network sites.

The true purpose of this team is to bring awareness to the greatness that is Fan Forum, as such this position is open to any interested member of Fan Forum who has been a member here for over six months – we want our members to really know about the forums we have here to maximize efficiency and be able to promote all our interests across the board and to social networks. It is important that you have knowledge of how to use at least some social networking platforms and that you have the ability and time available to act as an official ambassador for Fan Forum on these sites.

Can I ask how much time do you expect the applicant tp spend on the communication team?

It doesn't amount to much.

Updating board celebrations takes about 10 minutes. And they're the most regular. Some happen each day, some days we have a lot.

Affiliate contacting and maintaining takes longer, but is less regular. It probably takes an hourish a week to do that.

Most things don't take long, but it is important to check everyday to be upto date on everything:nod:
