This little guy/girl was in my garden yesterday, eating some tasty slugs, beetles etc. I put special hedgehog food and water out every night for my little spiky friends, and I think he'd had some of the pellets first before eating the molluscs and insects. It was still daylight - just before 9pm I think, and I got pretty close, and cropped the photo.

I thought I'd share a few pics of my back garden, because my gardener mowed the lawn on Thursday, and did some weeding and other stuff. I realised that the bushes and trees have completely covered the fence along the back of the garden.
My dad did loads of gardening, bless him, but I'm reliant on the gardener. We had lots of flowers when my dad was here. I only get the gardener when it gets a bit too wild. I mean, I love it wild, but there's a limit. The borders go back further than I can show on the photos, and the hedgehogs and birds love it. The little bowls at the left side are for the hedgehog's food and water. The trees right at the back belong to the neighbours, including the apple tree on the right hand side. It has a parasitic plant all over it, but still yields lots of apples, many of which fall onto my side. Also, because of the plant which has grown on it, it is evergreen, so the birds can snuggle up in it all year round.
