Have fun and good luck at the meet Amy.

Norman - That’s annoying.

Chris - Yep I’ve been cooking early when I do cook because with the heat and humidity it’s just too hot to cook.

Ken - Sounds like a plan. Let’s see what your final verdict is.

I went to book club tonight. We were discussing The Last Thing He Told Me.

I'm glad you enjoyed your day off, Mel. It's great that Oppenheimer was incredible. I need to check the listings to see when I can see it.

Thanks, Chris and Amy. I enjoyed the takeaway. I had lemon chicken with egg fried rice and prawn crackers.

I hope the meet goes well, Amy.

Good luck with the book, Ken. I hope something exciting happens in the last few pages.

Norman, it's annoying when the internet goes wrong. I hope things are fine now.

Mel - hope you enjoyed the discussion at your book club. Any special plans for your day off?

Julie - lemon chicken is on my favourites list

Norman - glad your internet problems were sorted out. Did you find anything at the Goodwill?

My new chairs are being delivered this morning. The family room will be a bit crowded for a while until we get rid of the old couch. My niece is getting divorced and might want it, so we'll keep it for a while until she sorts things out.

Norman - Any good finds?

Thanks

Chris - Sounds like things are coming along with the new furniture.

I went and saw my brother and nephew. Had fun hanging out and playing in the water. After my nephew laid down for a nap my brother and I went to lunch and a place I haven’t been to called Space Citea. He has been there but has never had food there. They have boba, teas, milk teas, smoothies, etc but also fusion food namely birria stuff. I got the birria fries and he got the birria grilled cheese. Amazing!!

Happy Friday all

Mel - I had to google birria. Not sure that it's something that I'd try. Maybe if it was beef. I don't like lamb or goat meat. Glad you enjoyed it.

Had quite the thunderstorm here last night. It's still raining, but the worst seems to be past us.

Chris - They also have beef and chicken versions. Beef is most popular here as lamb and goat tend to be pricier. I have tried these versions but yeah I prefer beef. Lol

We’re in drought at this point. We could use some rain.

Grocery shopped this morning. Also checked out a new coffee spot.

Mel - think I'd find the chicken version most appealing. We need more rain here too. At this rate, I imagine the prices for produce will continue to go up.

Norman - good for you! I have a couple or artificial plants. They stay nice and green as long as I remember to dust them on occasion.

Had some local corn and green beans with supper last night. Yummy. Picking up my main weekly grocery shop later this morning. Have enough points that I'll get everything for $1.28 Hubby would spend points as soon as he got them, I like to let them accumulate and redeem for something big.

They sure do, they are inexpensive and great for rooms with low natural lighting!
