It's muggy here. I like it.

You like the humidity? I don't. Hot is fine, but when it gets humid, it gets uncomfortable.

I'm going to visit mom this afternoon. Hopefully she'll be able to stay awake this time.

Unfortunately the visit with mom didn't go well at all. The visits are outside, and you have to wear a mask and be 2m/6ft apart. Mom didn't recognize me or interact with me at all. She was bound and determined that she needed to get back inside to finish something. Mom was getting quite upset, so I left.

Anybody have plans for the weekend?

I'm going to let hubby try and cut my hair today. We'll see how that goes.

Sorry about that, Chris.

I'm having a lazy weekend.

Good luck with your hair, Chris.

Overall it's not a terrible hair cut, but it's far shorter than I had intended. I had planned to keep some of the length in the back, but hubby just chopped it all off. I'll get used to it.

How is everybody today>

Sorry about your visit with your mom, Chris

I’m done work for the summer. It always feels surreal as I realize I have zero schedule for two months so I can sleep late if needed or take time with food or exercise or when to go out.

So far, I bought some summer treats for myself and cleaned my place and put some new Netflix series on my “watch” list!

Plus I’m reading a good horror book!

Julie - I'm good thanks.

Leanne - Love your avatar! Sounds like you'll be enjoying your vacation.

Tina - believe me, I was very wary, but since I was so far overdue for a haircut, I was desperate. While it isn't really what I wanted, I have to admit that he did a good job.

I should get out to the grocery store today. Wednesday is Canada Day, so I want to be stocked up before then.

I am, thanks. How about you?

There's no Canada fireworks display because of covid. They plan to do something on the local community channel, but that won't be the same.

It's been AGES, and I most likely don't have the patience (and time) to be active again on this forum, but I still wanted to say HI!!! (like I try to do once a year or so ). I was thinking about this forum again because I was watching a new episode of my (STILL) favorite show, and I'm hyped about it, but the board has been closed, unfortunately. (already expected it, though).

Sooo... HIIIIII! Still recognize some names.
