I'm waiting to see what goes on sale next week.
Sarah - you might try looking in a second hand store. Some people need the latest and greatest, and just get rid of their old stuff. __________________

That's a good point, Chris!
Chris, are you looking for any particular deals? __________________

Maybe a Nintendo for my son for Christmas, and maybe a new Kobo. How about you?

I'm sure he will be excited for a new Nintendo! I just looked up Kobo-it's an ereader?
I'm not really seeking anything in particular out but do need to do some gift shopping. I'll probably buy some things online that I can gift and maybe something for myself if I see something I like. I also like to participate in Giving Tuesday. I think it's important to give back year round but especially during the holidays. __________________

Well got an update from the government looking like 2 months for the readjustment to be finished - it'll be a nice chunk of back pay but doesn't help the fact I need groceries to finish November and really really stubbornly trying to get out of having to go to the food bank for the first and only time

Chris - glad your mom's appointment went well. I hope you find a good deal on the Nintendo and the Kobo.
Lizzy - that's awesome that you're participating in Giving Tuesday Sarah - so sorry that you have a couple more months to deal with being broke It's not fun to be broke. I hope things are better next month for you. Also if you need to go to the Food Bank then go to the Food Bank. Way better than being hungry. And you can always make a donation to the Food Bank later when you get on your feet. |

Lizzy - yes, a Kobo is an ereader. I haven't heard of Giving Tuesday.
Sarah - glad you got it sorted out, but sorry you have to wait so long for the adjustment. As Amy said, food banks are there to help people out. While it's admirable to try and avoid using it, there's no sense going hungry. And you can always donate back once you're able to do so. Amy - how are you today? __________________

Welcome back, Lindsay. How was your vacation? Also totally understandable that it is going to take you a bit to catch up! We've been pretty chatty!
Chris, Giving Tuesday was created to follow Cyber Monday, and promote the idea of giving to charity. People tend to be more charitable at the holidays; so, it's nice to have a day set aside to encourage people to donate. That's awesome that you're possibly getting a new ereader. I have a Kindle Fire, but I never use it. I actually prefer a physical book over an ereader, but then I don't know what to do with my books once I'm done. Sarah, that is unfortunate, but hopefully the end will be near. Hugs to you. __________________

Welcome back Lindsay! Looking forward to hearing about your adventures!
Lizzy - I try to donate this time of year anyways, but yes, it's nice to remind people to do so. I'm hooked on my ereader now, and don't want to be bothered with a physical book. The ereader is so lightweight and easy to stick in my purse if I'm going somewhere. Do you have a second hand bookstore to sell the books? Or libraries, hospitals, nursing homes sometimes accept donations. __________________
