I'm having my first paid "snow day" from work for the first time ever! :eek: :yay: They never closed in my district til today for staff! :eek: but it's been a record breaking amount of snowfall this weekend and not stopping yet... so I got lucky today. :woot: especially since I've been awake since 3:30 am too and still haven't found my way back to sleep so I'll be able to nap if I need to later.. was doing so well with sleeping til tonight! :sigh:

I'mmaking mac n cheese at almost 8pm. :lol:

Chris, I totally did my cozy things, I caught up on missed sleep from 8am-11 am, then worked on a fun scratch away cityscape activity book I got for Christmas, watched a horror movie and hung out on :ff:

Now my district is proclaiming its open tomorrow despite surrounding districts remaining closed and it's snowing in my city right now again. Don't want to commute in this tomorrow when everyone else stays safely closed! :bawl: maybe that will change if it keeps snowing tonight but I doubt they will do a second full snow day for us.

Lindsay, "snow day" means a day when there is so much snow on the ground and it's too difficult to dig out to go to school or work, you have a "snow day" which means staying home and shovelling, staying indoors or go out playing in the snow with the kids! :lol:
And my district finally changed their minds and announced schools are closed tomorrow now too, so that's a weight off my shoulders for another day! :thud:

My cold is feeling better today, thanks.

The schools here have an ice day today because they're predicting freezing rain. Most of the students are bussed, so they don't like to take chances of the busses getting stuck or in accidents.

Lindsay, the last two days off cause of snow, we've been paid! :thumbs_up: I think tomorrow my district is open but things always change, we are still expecting more snow tomorrow and not a good evening night either!

I finally went out and got some food, but I had to hitch a ride with my dad who has a 4 wheel drive truck cause our street is high with unplowed snow, my car won't be able to drive down the street to go anywhere right now :impatient:
