I didn't realise your money would be affected too, Chris.

I hope you enjoy your new computer, Chris.

as part of the Commonwealth, the Queen's picture is on our money. Stamps are generally something scenic, or commemorative these days.

Not a whole computer, just the monitor. The screen was flickering for a couple of days before it died.

How have you been?

It's good that you only had to buy a new monitor, Chris.

Ah, yes. I'm looking forward to watching the Commonwealth Games later in the year.

I've been fine thanks, Chris.

I don't think I've ever watched the Commonwealth Games. It's mainly summer sports, isn't it?

Yes, it's mainly summer sports. It's similar to the summer Olympics. The participants can be from tiny territories that aren't usually counted as actual countries, as long as they are in the Commonwealth, e.g. England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland are counted as separate countries instead of competing as United Kingdom. Lots of tiny islands are involved too as well as the bigger countries like Canada and Australia. it's great fun.

oh, I didn't realize that English, Scottish and Welsh didn't compete under the UK banner.

I bought a couple of new hostas for the garden yesterday. Now I need to decide where to plant them. The one spot I was thinking of doesn't really have the space.

It's frustrating when something doesn't quite fit. I hope you work it out, Chris.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Didn't get around to planting the hostas yesterday, but I'll figure it out.

Have a family gathering today for my youngest nephew's baptism.

Hot and humid here. Hubby put the air conditioner in yesterday. How is everybody?

We've had a few nice days here. It's supposed to rain today. I should go visit mom later. Also want to get out to the store and print up a few pictures. I have two photo collage frames and both could stand to be updated.

I hope you enjoy printing your pictures, Chris.

It was cold here earlier. I refused to put on the heating though because it's June. It's against my principles to put on heating when it's supposed to be the end of spring going into summer.

I have a long weekend starting from tomorrow. We have an extra bank holiday and a postponed bank holiday so we have Thursday and Friday as bank holidays then the weekend to celebrate the Queen's platinum jubilee.

Didn't get the pictures printed yesterday. Plan to do it today.

we have our gas fireplace on a thermostat so it will come on if the temperature in the house falls below a preset level. It was on when I came downstairs this morning. Two days ago I had the air conditioner on.

Is there a parade or fireworks to mark the occasion? Do you have any special plans?

Wow, that's weird weather.

I don't know if there will be fireworks. There will be several events taking place over the 4 days. I will be going to the Platinum Communi-Tea Party taking place near where I live on Saturday.
