some of your sun has finally come my way.

Leanne Are you enjoying the album?

Purchased a maple tree for the front yard yesterday and got it planted.

Now hubby has decided that it's time to paint the livingroom.

I'm having a good weekend thanks, Leanne. I hope you enjoy the album.

I love maple trees.

My weather is cold and rainy today.

It's a lovely, warm, sunny day here. did a bit of tidying in the garden, then sat outside and read for a bit.

Today it's mild, but rainy. Snow flurries in the forecast for tomorrow.

I know! The weather has been crazy this year. Can't remember ever getting snow on such a regular basis in April.

How is your garden coming?

Didn't realize that I needed milk when I was at the store yesterday, so I'll need to go get that today. Hubby's talking about painting inside the hall closet. Dread the thought of pulling everything out of there. It's sure to need a good cleaning in the back.

I planted some beetroot today. I have made a tiny pond out of an old washing up bowl. I will post a pic of it in the Picture thread.

Good luck with your closet cleaning, Chris.

I just recently tried beets again. Not a fan of them cooked, I got a simple slaw recipe for them - peel, shred, toss with olive oil & apple cider vinegar, sprinkle with crumbled feta.

Your pond is cute! I'll bet that the birds will enjoy it.

Haven't got to the closet yet. Hubby's going around the other way. Cleaning up my china cabinet is on my list today.

I love cooked beetroot.

Your recipe for beetroot looks very tasty, Chris.

I have not seen any creatures in my pond yet. Maybe they used it when I wasn't there.

My mother-in-law used to make borscht. I've never tried making it myself. Should check out recipes for it.

How is everybody today?

Hubby's making progress with the painting. Put the living & dining room curtains back up today.
