Hi, Dave.

Yes, cold is expected. It is only a bit cold today though.

Good luck with the puzzle, Chris. I should get back to my London Underground puzzle. I have left it too long. It's at a tricky stage.

An image of the Underground lines? That would be cool. Mine's an eagle. I'm still trying to get all the edge pieces together.

It's an image of the map of the Underground. I like the fact that there is a lot of writing. It makes it easier. I have a lot of pieces on the board in roughly the correct places so it looks messy and it's making things difficult.

Lovely pic of your puzzle, Chris.

Having something distinct like writing helps. I'm finding mine challenging. Too much similar colouring. It's going to keep me busy for a while.

Anybody else sick of winter?

I would fine your puzzle difficult too, Chris. Good luck.

It was frosty this morning and extremely cold. I would be sick of winter but I am enjoying watching the skiing on TV at this time of year.

I don't think I'm good at doing puzzles or I can't pay attention to those for too long. There are so many things I'd like to do in theory but I'm not sure if the pandemic has something to do with making attention spans shorter for some people.

I'm sick of winter. I only like winter when I have 2 weeks off work. Then snow can go away forever.

Have to admit that I'm finding it hard to get into this puzzle. It will get done eventually.

As far as I'm concerned, a week of winter at Christmas is more than sufficient. Right now the roads and sidewalks are a bit icy, so I hate walking this time of year. I'm terrified of possibly falling.

Luckily, it doesn't get icy very much where I live.

I'd be very thankful for that. The town sidewalks and areas right in front of stores are usually well salted/sanded so aren't slippery. Parking lots can be treacherous.

I hope it stops being icy soon, Chris!

I have received a gardening catalogue from the company that I buy a lot of seeds from. I am planning to plant some flowers as well as vegetables.

Sunflowers are great.

I've chosen sunflowers, poppies, foxgloves, marigolds and maybe some others. The marigolds are good for deterring pests from vegetable plots because pests don't like the smell of marigolds. This doesn't apply to bees though so should enjoy the marigolds. All of the flowers I am choosing are friendly to bees.

I'd rather attract butterflies or hummingbirds than bees. I got stung last fall, then it got infected. It was not nice at all.

We had a hawk in our yard yesterday munching on a mourning dove. The hawk was there for hours enjoying his meal. Hubby found it fascinating to watch. I was happy with a few glances.

Luckily, I've never been stung by a bee. I've been stung by a few wasps so I don't like them.

Wow! I've never seen a hawk in real life.
