Congratulations to Emilia!

I'm fine thanks, Chris. I hope you manage to locate the presents.

Ugh, finally back, that last week was rather dull. (Not that this week is really going to be that much better tomorrow is a liquid only diet for me and then choking down a gallon of salty water disguised as pineapple)

Anyway, Chris, my sister’s child won’t be my first time being an aunt, however it will be the first baby in our family in almost a decade! Yesterday was the due date so now I’m expecting just any time to get the news!!

I’m basically ready for Christmas, decorated and waiting for the gifts I ordered to arrive in the mail.

Leanne - yikes! hope you turn the corner soon. Do you have a new niece or nephew yet?

Julie - I've pulled the presents out from their various hiding spots. Have something for mom, and lots for my son, but don't have as much for hubby as I thought I did. Now I need to separate hubby's pile into birthday and Christmas, then start wrapping.

I miss buying toys to donate to the toy drive. Due to covid, they've switched to a gift card model. Guess that way each family can purchase what their child really wants, but it's not as much fun for me.

I hope things improve for you soon, Leanne.

Chris, I understand the fun of buying toys for people. I hope you will be able to do that in future years.

I do too, but somehow I imagine the gift card idea will stick around. It must be a lot easier to organize and distribute to the families that need help rather than sorting through a pile of donations.

How is everybody today?

My power went off about 4:30 last night. Wound up having a bowl of cereal for supper. We have a camp stove, but hubby figured the power would come back on as soon as he got it out. So we made do with a cold supper. The power was restored right after we went to bed at 10:30

I'm glad your electricity wasn't off for too long, Chris.

I hope you enjoyed your no-football weekend, Dave.

It was a lovely sunny day yesterday so we went out of town for a bit of shopping. Bought myself a new pair of jeans. It's sunny today too, so will probably get hubby to bbq for supper.
