I watched more cycling and the London Marathon on Sunday.

I managed to do a bit of digging and weeding on my allotment today. It will soon be time to plan for next year's planting. I still have some crops growing though.

What do you plant now?

I'm going to pick out some new glasses this morning.

I still have potatoes, spring onions, herbs, chard, rocket and some small onions that should be bigger.

I have ordered a whole range of seeds for sowing over the next few months. February and March are the usual months to plant seeds but I can plant some of them earlier.

I had to google rocket. I know it as arugula.

Ordered some new glasses. They should be in the end of next week.

Getting new glasses is kind of exciting cause it can add style to one's face!

So how late in the season can you grow food in gardens?

Picking out new glasses is not one of my favourite things. This time only three frames appealed to me, and I settled on the second ones I tried on. Hopefully I'll like them once I get them.

Around here root crops such as potatoes & carrots could still be harvested, but frost damage is a threat to anything above ground.

I have just bought a new laptop because my other one broke. I am making the most of it by posting a lot now.

It is autumn where I am (England) so it's getting towards the end of the growing season. Depending on the weather, I will probably begin digging for next year in a few weeks' time. The big planting month is March but I can plant some things over the winter.

I find it tricky to pick out new glasses frames because I can't see very well. I have nice frames at the moment so I might pick the same ones (or similar) next time.

Happy Thanksgiving to Canadians.

Lovely pic, Dave.

Julie - yikes about your old laptop breaking. It's terrific that you were able to replace it right away.

We get a severe winter. Other than spring flower bulbs, I'm not aware of much that gets planted now.

Had a yummy turkey dinner yesterday. Got the leftovers tidied up this morning. Left out enough for a couple of sandwiches. The rest is in the freezer.

I had two TG dinners in a row, did I mention that? Siblings have issues with who is there so we get two ()

I'm really enjoying the scenery of autumn on my commutes to work, and i'm enjoying work this week for some reason. Also, I don't know why, but I'm feeling happy/hyper today

Leanne - I wouldn't mind eating an extra turkey dinner, as long as I didn't have to deal with the leftovers.

taking time to appreciate the changing leaves is my favourite thing about this time of year.

I pick up my new glasses today.

I hope you enjoy your glasses, Chris.

It has been very hot and sunny today. There are leaves on the ground because it's autumn but it felt like summer. Now, 3:30pm, it's getting cool.
