I'm going to a presentation this afternoon by the local travel club. It should be interesting to hear what trips they're planning for next year.

It’s 5 pm here and I’m wishing it was more like 9 pm cause I feel like sleeping since it’s already dark now! :yawn: :facepalm:

Wow, that's pretty early to be so dark already.

It really is down under it is not even dark until 8:30 but we went forward for summer months in early October and it will be like this up until April next year.

:nod: the shorter daylight hours during the fall and winter can be depressing. Sunset here is just after 5pm now. At the height of summer, it's light until almost 10pm.

right now it is 8:30-9pm here but in summer it can be later :nod:

And its 2:30 pm and I'm at work, needing a nap!

I'm excited cause tomorrow is my last day of work til next Tuesday!

But I'm bummed cause I have to get new winter tires and its gonna cost over $500. :thud:

I don't work until Tuesday either but it is Thursday here 9am and I am at work.

There's daylight until 10PM? :eek: Wow. The most daylight can stay up here is at 6:30 PM and that's pretty late over here already.

And yeah I agree, shorter daylight hours all the time can get depressing. Sometimes waking up at 6:30 AM with little to no sun disorients me like did I wake up late or is it still evening?

Going on vacation or a local holiday there?

It is but depends on hemisphere I guess here because it is spring now going to be summer in December it is 8:30-9pm it gets dark.

:nod: Opposite hemispheres mean opposite seasons. At the height of summer, yes.

:lol: that happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I checked a different clock to make sure that the time was right since it was still dark out.

Leanne - hubby put our snow tires on yesterday. Just in time too. We have snow squall warnings up for today.

Kristen, yep geography is the reason. I live near the equator so no DST over here.

Chris, it drives me insane. :lol: I have never gone to work where there's no light out early in the morning. Even when there's a storm, there's still going to be a slither of daylight.
