Episode Discussion- 201 'Take me out to the ballgame'
Episode 201 'Take Me Out To The Ballgame' Written by Michael Patrick King Directed by Allen Coutter 'In a world where leaving each other seems to be getting more and more frequent, what are the breakup rules?' The girls force Carrue out of her post Big doldrums by dragging her to a Yankees game, where she catches the New Yankee's ball and scores a date; Samantha tries to 'coach' James into satisfying her despite his bat size; Charlotte dates a guy who's always adjusting his balls; Miranda tells the girls off for being obsessed with balls and men. Cynthia Nixon: After I did that speech about how all we do is talk about is men, people came up to me on the street and said 'I'm so glad you said that!" They felt all the talk about men was the one thing that kept the show from being feminist. But I don't know that's what are show is about. The women's work is there, but it is fairly peripheral. Post your thoughts on the episode! __________________

Miranda's are the worst!!!!
I liked this episode, i felt so bad for Carrie, she was really going through a rough time cause of the break up and she was so afraid of bumping into him, and then when she did at the bar You could tell she was still in love with him, the scene with Miranda at the end was very touching, it shows that despite Miranda's 'call me when we're having a serious discussion' they were there for each other no matter what. Oh and to add how hilarious was Miranda running in the dungerees in this eppie __________________

I loved this episode! I thought it was a great kick off to the second season. I love the quote by Carrie that went something like "Miranda, was a huge fan of the Yankees. I was a huge fan of anywhere you could smoke and drink at 2 in the afternoon without judgement." Too bad Carrie wasn't over Big, because the "New Yankee" was hot. And poor Sam, she had just had all she could take with the little guy. I love when she holds up whats left of her hot dog and compares it to her boyfriend.

Miranda was so jealous Carrie got to ask out the Yankee, 'You don't rebound with the Yankee' So funny how she says 'I'm a lawyer' and he's like 'so if i don't sign your ball you'll sue me??'

I really liked the New Yankee and it was a shame that he couldn't have come into Carrie's life a little bit after she had accepted her breakup with Big. She just wasn't ready for him, but I think he could've been a good fit for her. |
