Episode #202 Discussion - The Awful Truth
Are there certain things in a relationship that one should never say?
Carrie encourages a friend to leave her husband and faces the awful consequences. Samantha and James break up after she admits that he is too small. Charlotte, convinced a woman's best friend is her dog, purchases a canine. Miranda experiments in pillow talk. Quotes: Miranda: Sex is not a time to chat. In fact, it's one of the few instances in my overly articulated, exceedingly verbal life where it is perfectly appropriate - if not preferrable - to shut up. And now suddenly I have to worry about being stumped for conversation? No thank you. Susan Sharon: It's 100% Italian cashmere and light as a feather. Carrie: God, I love it! It's a cashmere-acle! __________________

I rewatched this one 2 days ago.
Miranda talking dirty was hilarious Carrie panicking about the roses was a bit too much though. Is it such a crime to remember your ex-girlfriend's birthday? I know they were huge and all but it seemed like a nice gesture. Susan Sharon is a hilarious character. Too bad we didn't see more of her. I didn't want her to get back together with her hubby but I liked the way they did it and how it was connected to Charlotte's story. Speaking of... Poor Charlotte! That was such a lame dog. Elizabeth Taylor was much better. Carrie & Big at the party were great. And those dancers. __________________

I know Charlotte's dog was such a hyper thing. Definetly too wound up for her more reserved tastes. Elizabeth Taylor was much better.
Miranda's face cracked me up so much when she was trying to muster up the courage to talk dirty. Carrie, just opened herself right back up to Big and after she had word so hard to forget about him too. But him with those dancers. I think he might have.. just a tiny bit.. been trying to make Carrie jealous. __________________

It was never hard to make her jealous where Big was concerned.
This honestly isn't a huge favorite of mine, too much Carrie obsessing over Big which got on my nerves in the early years. I did love the plotline with Miranda and the dirty talk cause it cracked me up and it's so true about what she found out from the whole thing. Charlotte and the dog were okay, but like the rest of you, I prefer Elizabeth Taylor. __________________
