No probs guys!

No I didn't type it out - on the TV Week website (the link is found on ninemsm.com.au) you can read it There is also another article on Delta in the magazine (you can't read it online though unfortunately)

It is about NIna coming back purely to win Jack back. She is a huge Bollywood star! You guys should all go out and buy the mag - it is only $3 I think and there is alot of Delta/Nina pics in it

Ah, right. Thanks for the info. I think most of us have found out about the Bollywood thing by some means or other, but I'll definitely pick up the mag for the Delta/Nina piccage.

You're onto something there, Rach! Those outtakes would definitely make for great viewing on her next DVD.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this new Nina!

She must be *really* different if she's coming all the way from India to get Jack back!

Goodrem back as a good neighbour
By Emma Chalmers
September 01, 2004

DELTA Goodrem will make her anticipated return to television on Monday night starring in the soapie that started her career.
The 19-year-old will once again be seen on screens in Neighbours from next week as part of a planned farewell for her character Nina Tucker.

Goodrem, who first joined Neighbours in July 2002, left the soapie suddenly last year when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease.

After undergoing treatment for the cancer, she rejoined the Melbourne set of the Channel 10 show in May to film a more satisfying departure for her character and leave Neighbours behind to concentrate on her successful singing career.

Goodrem told The Courier-Mail last month that she asked to return to the show because she had some unfinished business with Nina.

"It was really abrupt when I left," she said. "It was an absolutely fantastic time in my life with Nina and it was great to come back on the show. Nina has a very wonderful storyline, a very romantic one."

The Melbourne singer, whose debut album Innocent Eyes sold more than a million copies in Australia alone, said she also felt her fans deserved a more fulfilling end for a character many had loved.

On her return to the set, Goodrem filmed intensively for five days, shooting enough footage for the producers to stretch her departure on air over a month.

At the time of her sudden exit, the producers of the series wrote her character out of Ramsay St, sending her to pursue a singing and acting career in Bollywood, a first for a Neighbours character.

While Goodrem revealed that Nina returns to Erinsborough to rekindle her relationship with previous flame Jack Scully (Jay Bunyan), she would not say how her character eventually comes to leave Neighbours behind for good.

I'm so glad that Delta *wanted* to go back to Neighbours and didn't just do it because she felt she had to.

Rach posted this on the duet thread, but I'll post it here too.

Delta on track with duet
September 03, 2004

DELTA Goodrem has recorded a duet for her new album with former English boy-band star Brian McFadden.
The song was recorded last week in London after being postponed as Goodrem recovered from being ill in Athens.

Ex-Westlife heart-throb McFadden said: "Delta and I are not singing together but to each other.

"We sent a rough demo of me with a piano and guitar, trying to do her bits and sounding like a woman. She loved it."

It's not clear if the duet will end up being a single, but it will likely be on both of their new albums.

McFadden is a huge star in the UK and his wife, Kerry, is from girl group Atomic Kitten.

Goodrem is in Los Angeles finishing her album, with a release date to be set.

She's very excited about getting back to her music after being in the headlines for everything but that in the past year.

Goodrem is back on Neighbours on Monday night and has said that she may want to return to the soapie if the timing is right.

She is tipped to tour next year.

Delta tells how love saved her
From Cameron Adams in Los Angeles
September 04, 2004

DELTA Goodrem will use her comeback single to break her silence on the highs and lows of her tumultuous year.
Goodrem's new single, Out of the Blue, is her passionate statement on meeting tennis star Mark Philippoussis while recovering from Hodgkin's disease.

"I knew straight away it had to be the first single," Goodrem said in Los Angeles yesterday, where she's finishing her second album, tentatively titled Mistaken Identity.

"The first verse runs: 'A new beginning, a new chapter of my life, started the day I thought could be my last', and the chorus says: 'Out of the blue, there I met you, what a wonderful thing . . .'

"I think it's perfect for a single because it's saying I'm still here, I'm still singing, I want to enjoy the fact I'm out of the blue and back into the world."

Goodrem said while the song and her album were honest, there were no "woe is me" moments.

"I want it to be a hopeful song," she said.

"I had a relationship in mind when I wrote it; when someone special comes into your life and lifts you from a dark place to a much brighter world."

Goodrem wrote the song shortly after starting her relationship with Philippoussis.

While she's cautious when talking about her boyfriend ("You have to keep some things private"), she admitted she was greatly upset about being blamed for his recent form slump.

"I'd be lying if I said I didn't get hurt by the criticism. I really want the best for Mark and his tennis," Goodrem said.

"I do my job, he does his job, and we both have our professional careers. But that's separate to who we are as people and our relationship."

Goodrem's second album is the follow-up to her million-selling debut, Innocent Eyes.

The epic Out of the Blue, with its Beatle-esque strings and anthemic crescendos, is unlike anything Goodrem has recorded.

"I knew it had to be deeper and darker," she said.

"I wanted my album to be big, dramatic and truthful, because that's how my year has been."

One track, Extraordinary Day (July 8), recalls the day Goodrem found out about her cancer, while the catchy Mistaken Identity documents how the illness changed her life.

Goodrem, who turns 20 in November, says she was eager to get back to music after her last chemotherapy treatment in January.

"I never felt depression before I got sick," she said.

"I'm someone who always bounds into a room. But I'd never felt so low, and I really missed being able to make music."

Goodrem insists she never thought the worst: "When I was told (the diagnosis) I just thought, 'OK, this is my next challenge'.

"I never thought, 'Oh God, that's it', not for a second.

"Of course I thought, 'I'm 18, what is going on here?' but I just thought, 'This is the next chapter of my life, and it's going to be completely different'."

In her recovery, Goodrem has had to deal with falling out with former manager Glenn Wheatley, a close friend selling his story to the media, and music producers trying to get early recordings released against her will.

"We're talking about people around me who were completely disgraceful at a time I needed them to take control and steer me the right way," she said.

"I was only 18 and now people are coming out with (old albums) and trying to sue my family, and I was having to deal with all this while I was still in the hospital, and I just thought, 'Leave me alone'.

"People I've trusted have betrayed me in the past few months, but at the same time it's made me stronger. I haven't spoken about it, but the truth will come out."

Out of the Blue will be released to radio later this month and will be in shops next month. The album follows in November.
