I've always been disturbed by how different she looks in the AYAT vid...I mean I like it, and she does look gorgeous in it, but sometimes I get the odd impression that it's a song from a movie soundtrack or something where she was just asked to play someone else. I suppose the chipmunk voice arrangements have a lot to do with that. Fortunately that doesn't prevent me from loving the (preferably, non-chipmunked) song in its own right

I reckon that video was shot recently [I mean, recent in terms of the dvd's release back in 03 or 04]. She looks like she has a wig on. The chipmunked sound / track was probably the song in its original recording..the IE version obviously was done later since she's not chipmunked there.

Okay, this is so old now [it was taped when they were at the stage where they wanted to look like each other ] but I just think Brian's face is hilarious when the German lady is talking.. he's like "..I have no idea what she's saying..do I go now...?!"

I have no idea who the girl is..or why they're zooming in on her all the time..

I saw NMNI on tv today, and besides being overcome with the obvious gushy fangirly feelings for my beloved NMNI, [you know how the little song tags appear at the start & end of a song?] seeing the year it was made / released.. it just made me realise how freakin long ago all that was. Good times, good times...

The only time I've seen a Delta video being played over here was AH, from when the Hit List was still on the air. I'd love to see one of her videos being played on Much.

Do they do requests? They might play it if they go eh? Delta who? Let's give her a whirl.. [I actually think request shows are bogus and they play what THEY want and just make up the viewer names of the people who request them, but you never know.. ]

You sure are dedicated Tenielle! You're on holidays yet you're still in the Delta know...

I don't wanna comment much more on the Flawed video because I might laugh too hard, but I do love the sound of the song.

I know where you're coming from there, Soraya. She definitely adopts a different identity there. It's almost like a prelude to MI, as, Eves says, it was most likely filmed during her recovery period when wearing a wig. I still find the chipmunked arrangment bizzare too. Though, like you, endearlingly so. It reminds me of her younger recordings (circa IE b-sides).

I never considered that it might be in original format there, Eves! It makes a lot of sense.

Thanks for posting that clip, Eves! You're right, it's hilarious for so many reasons. I can't get over the fact they zoom in on the girl like that. She's obviously a die-hard Brian fan. I was impressed by the manner in which she kept her cool rught up till the end though!

Absolutely! I remember the night clearly too. Such anticipation and not an ounce of diappointment in the aftermath. I don't think any of us could have expected such splendour. It truly exceeded all expectation and remains up to this point.

I recall the OOTB premiere vividly too, Cliff. It was so exciting to see her at her best again after such a long hiatus. I couldn't get over how beautiful she looked in the pink dress and boots piano-playing sequence. It's a spectacular song and the video complements it perfectly!

I reckon! Good on you, Tenielle! Great to get a glimpse of the Flawed vid for sure. Though, it's elcited mixed reactions ( Eves ), we're all mightly excited about the song and it's release. Take care and talk to you soon!

They do have a request show, called MOD (Much On Demand), but like you've said, during request shows they tend to play videos they want to play or videos that are popular atm.

You can see the entire video for Flawed on YouTube.

Seen the video, it's..interesting. I wasn't really paying attention to it but it's weird to it end with her in the cupboard. Thanks for the link, Kay!

Love the song, it's fabulous! Have listened to it a handful of times already! Ripped it from the video on youtube & have uploaded it, though hopefully a better quality version will pop up soon. Flawed.

* if you have itunes I'd edit the timing for it to end at 4:14, unless you wanna hear the Asian lady talk at the end whenever you listen to it.

Thanks for posting the vid link, Kay! I understand the theme better after having watched the whole thing. The symbolism of white rabbits as being pure and representative of childhood when things (namely love) are uncomplicated and unflawed. Delta's searching for answers and uncovering the stark truth is akin to the inner child's pursuit of the white rabbit (Alice In Wonderland). I interpret the cupboard (like the window) to be a portal to the imagination in an Alice In Wonderland kind of way too. It is pretty funny visually. Wonder what Delta thought of the bunnies popping up around her when she first watched it in post production!

Thanks so much for ripping the YouTube clip, Eves! ( about the Asian lady popping up at the end)! The song is fabulous, as expected! It's really pretty, and showcases her vocals and piano skills to a tee. I like the way soft, delicate vocals build to her usual soaring splendour and continues to rise and fall. I also love the lyric, I wanna be a photograph underexposed!

Here's a link to Sony Japan's gallery of promotional pics for the Flawed vid. You can also find a wallpaper here. Beautiful photos... they look polished to be album art! All are gorgeous, but I'm particularly in awe at the ones of her lying on the bed and sitting at the piano. Love how the setting and styling picks up on the innocence and naivity that the LWY video so successfully did, while bringing a new mature, wise and worldly sensibility to the mix.

No problem Kat! I got a better understanding of the rabbit theme after viewing the whole thing too, especially the Alice In Wonderland connection you've pointed out.

Thanks for linking to the promo pics, I love the setting, it reminds me of the LWY video as well.

Evie:, you're the best! I'm really liking this song!

Thanks dear, I know.

JK. It's fab aint it, soft-rock Delta is a winning formula. I hope she does a few tracks like this for her next Aussie release.

Anyway, besides capping the video for the bitchface icon [that IS ironic eh Kat! Of all the videos she does, the one where she's all depressed and somewhat distracted, and it provides me with the best bitchy pose! ] I haven't watched it since. I can't get over the bunnies, despite the pointed out symbolism examples. In some places she's really into the song and is serious then it cuts to her grinning. Some of it just seems so overacted and or just plain odd. I wonder how much input she had on the video. I shouldn't complain though, at least she's doing something new & exciting over in Japan, unlike when she was trying her luck in the US and was just doing recycled material [though for them, not recycled..but you know. This stuff is more exciting cos it's new for everyone. ]

Is it just me or do they focus on her blue eyes heaps in this video? They seem to be highlighted moreso than usual. Maybe that ropes in more potential interest [of her or the music] because to them she's exotic-looking.

Must agree with you there, Eves. I'd love for this feel to filter through to the tracks penned for our forthcoming release too. Here's hoping!

I can see what you're sayng about the expressive extremes in the clip. I'm guessing she got some direction for this one. It's fascinating to think that Japanese audiences are likely to respond to a much more detailed and dramatic approach than we would. I'm glad to see something new after the on-again off-again happenings on the US front too! It's been so long since we saw any new material when you think about (excluding her US LWY clip and TWAO). Now we can look forward to Flawed's (and the album release's) charting stats and her appearance at the film premiere!

Yes, I think you may be right. It could very well be because of the exoticness they ensue too.
