I'd really like to see the relationship between these two. It seems like they have a real brotherly love for each other and it's nice to have something that stable in a drama series.

I agree. Since we already had 2 brothers fighting in OTH, it'll be nice seeing the opposite here for something different.

lol yes. I think it will be very different from Lucas and Nathan. Plus, Jack & Bobby have an age difference, and most of the time that puts a strain on the relationship (because the younger often strives to be like the older). It's nice to see that with these two the circumstances are different.

Just watched the pilot and I have to say one of the things that draws me into this show is the relationship that they have. It makes me want to watch more, and see what happens between them.

They seem very realistic, like how Bobby seems to come along at the wrong times for Jack, when he's with Courteney and all and seems to get in the way. I feel sorry for him, have a bit of a soft spot.

As the older sibling, I was cringing during any scenes when Bobby would show up at the worst possible time. Very true to life.

I really love how the brothers' relationship is shown. They have an interesting dynamic. They obviously care for each other and when things get bad, they are there for one another. Jack is a good role model for Bobby, better than their mother seemed to give him credit for. He took the fall to ensure his brother wouldn't, he is protective (I'm very familiar with that one), and he genuinely cares for Bobby. I admit, I've got a big ole soft spot for Jack already. I can't wait to see how their relationship plays out.

Yeah, the relationships between the brothers is written as very realistic. Jack is my fav. of the brothers. That because I can relate to him more. Boby is still young and learning about the world. The trouble with their mother is just getting started I believe. I hope that Jack can help Bobby through this crucial time in his life. 8th grade is always a huge year. And hopefully Bobby can teach Jack not to care about being normal so much and be who he is and accept that fact.

I just adore this relationship, first of all the chemistry between Logan and Matt is just perfect. From scene one the brother relationship came through, there we're so many true to life scenarios here, that gave me total flashbacks to watching my own brothers grow up. It didn't at all feel superficial or forced.

I loved how Jack's feelings for Bobby we're underlying, they we'ren't just out there for everyone to see, he didn't say a lot about it, but it was in what he did, the way he tried to make his life better without forcing him. I think it's definitely been set up that Jack inspires Bobby, he guides him towards the right path, but inevitably Bobby ends up going it alone, hence Jack dying.

I choked up when they we're doing the future talking scenes and and one of the quotes was that they asked Bobby who most affected his life and it wasn't his mother but Jack, I think we'll really see that. And then of course I really started crying when they had the thing about Bobby saying the wrong brother became president.

Sigh, they've hooked me.

I absolutely adore Jack & Bobby's relationship. Like Whitney said, it didn't seem forced, it felt completely natural, and I immediately saw the brotherly chemistry between Matt and Logan.

I loved Jack's comments towards Bobby, while some would consider them to be cruel, I just saw a real relationship between an older brother and baby brother. Matt's deliveries of the comments were done so well, and he made them sound so natural.

I also got choked up when they showed the future interviews and the lady said that Bobby immediately said Jack was the person who most affected his life. This show had me crying in the pilot, which is why I've fallen in love with it so much.

This is the scene that made me cry. It was just so sad, and I'm a total softie. LOL.

I loved their relationship...one of the reasons I did was because it was just so real. Many times on shows you see siblings who are just always nice and great friends and while that happens in real life sometimes,I think that Jack and Bobby's relationships was just very real.Bobby looks up to Jack no matter what and Jack wants to give his brother the best life possible but acts like the typical older sibling. It was great

Firestar007 09-14-2004 04:24 PM

I love Jack and Bobby's relationship. It's one of the best things from the show. It shows how much Jack cares for his brother.

I think of two younger brothers when I see Jack and Bobby because my middle brother is 14 and in High School and my younger brother is 11 and in Middle School. And my younger brother always wants to be included. Also when my middle brother is a senior in high school my other brother is going to be a freshman and then tells my brother that he is going to hang out with him and his friends  It totally reminds me of Jack and Bobby.

It's very rare that the sibling relationship is well-written on TV, but I think Jack and Bobby are off to a good start. (Let's just hope they don't go in the direction of Summerland, where they introduced this wonderful relationship between Bradin and Nikki in the pilot, then it almost completely disappeared. But since Jack and Bobby are the title characters and everything, I doubt that will happen.)

I just love that quote from the future Courtney at the end: "Without Bobby, Jack might never learn compassion, and without Jack, Bobby might never gain strength." I think that just gives us a glimpse of the surface of their relationship. As the season goes on, they'll dig deeper.

Susan- I loved that quote too! I also think it really fore-shadowed Jack and Bobby's growing relationship as brothers. I just  this show.

I think the brother's relationship will be very interesting, espeacially with the mother. I dont really know about kids with a single mother, but i'm guessing they're probably alot closer than others. I like how Jack took the blame/ didnt deny the pot was his. He stood up for Bobby.

Does anybody know the age difference between the two because i think this is a first for the WB with siblings of the same gender so close in age-- correct me if i'm wrong.
