#realtalk This is 30!!! I feel like I lived many lifetimes throughout my 20s... from starring on a hit TV show I could've only ever dreamed of being on to meeting my husband, partying and exploring in more countries I ever thought I'd see in real life to settling down and buying our first home in LA and finally, of course, becoming a mom... safe to say, I've experienced many seasons of life throughout this past decade! Turning 30 was something I always dreaded but to my pleasant surprise, I'm actually more confident in my skin and at peace with my life than ever before. I thought my 30th would be spent ****faced, dancing on a table somewhere trying to escape the moment with laughter and loud music but it was so nice to spend this milestone in a quiet, breathtaking setting with the loves of my life so I could really just take in the moment and appreciate what has gotten me to where I am today and what possibilities the future may hold! A big part of being so content with where I am today is the love and support from all of YOU so of course, I wanted to involve you in the celebration and share another #LifesABeech vlog of my 30th birthday weekend! Throwing it back on a Saturday to one of my darker days of this motherhood journey for an important cause. These sunken eyes and broken smile were trying to fight back tears that would come in heavy crashing waves. Bowie was weeks old and I was experiencing sleep deprivation, a hormonal rollercoaster and anxiety like I’d never experienced before. I had a beautiful baby in my arms nearly 24/7 who was eating, sleeping or crying for hours on end with “colic” and I felt guilty and ashamed about how hard I was finding it. Just when I started to question if I was able to cope, an unexpected intervention from a pediatrician who wasn’t our own, recommended I try an allergen free diet that changed the game for my daughter’s tummy and my mental health. I didn’t identify as someone experiencing postpartum depression but in retrospect, I believe I fell somewhere on the spectrum of ppa/ppd during those first 6 weeks. 1 in 7 moms suffer from postpartum depression. But there’s hope, and you can help! Researchers at University of North Carolina are studying mom genes (aka your DNA) to find a connection to the disease and lead us to a cure. Family is everything and Sundays spent laughing and exploring with mine is the cherry on top of every week. Sharing a day in the life of our family’s Sunday fun day on my channel today. This particular Sunday was made even more fun by having my mom visit from Canada. And it was made even more full of laughter by pranking her for 24 hours with @joshbeech. :lmao:

Sunday wasn't only Mother's Day, it was Shenae and her husband's wedding anniversary.


shenaegrimesbeech- Today marks 8 years since I met and 7 years since I vowed to spend forever with my soulmate, the love of my life, my partner in crime, my bestest friend in the whole wide world. To celebrate the love I share with the incredible human who I knew changed my life forever the night we met and who has made me a mommy to the other love of my life on Mother’s Day is pretty freaking special and to do it in our little bubble, safe at home is a gift. There is only one*@joshbeech*and if you’ve had the pleasure and privilege of knowing him, you know how truly special he is... so how freaking lucky am I that he picked me to do life with?!
