But why would he feel the need to do that? It makes no sense, because he's spent the entire season being rude and cold to her. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt.

But I think this has been completely reactionary because of the way Maya has been treating (a.k.a. ignoring) him. And you could argue that she actively went out of her way to ignore him. It's not like they ended last year on bad terms or anything.

I don't think Maya was actively ignoring him. Then again, we don't have much to go on since they haven't really had a civilized conversation about where they stand. I don't think Maya intended to fall for someone in Paris; it just happened - because I absolutely think she was open to the idea of being with Zig at the end of Zombie. But things change, feelings change, and they were in different countries all summer... should she have talked to him? Yeah. But Zig could've also approached her at any time.

I don't know why... that's just the impression I'm getting from the promos. He looks mighty smug during that clip at the dance when he's walking past Miles.

Oh, I definitely think she was actively ignoring him. :lol: Now, I don't think she ever wanted to hurt him. I think Maya purposely ignored (or maybe avoided is a better word) Zig because she feared how awkward things would be when he found out about her and Miles. I suppose it's possible that Zig was ignoring Maya too, but I don't know what his motive would be. Maya had a clear motive (Miles).

And it reminds me so much of what I did to a guy when, after us flirting incessantly at the end of the school year, I completely ignored him all summer because I didn't want to have a relationship with him but I was too embarrassed/ashamed to actually tell him that. So instead I (maturely) ignored his calls and all his attempts to contact me. And then when we were back at school, we both avoided each other. It was so completely awkward. (Then we dated for like, literally a week. Most doomed relationship ever. :lol:)

So I might be projecting but I completely see the same thing happening with Maya and Zig. I just hope they're able to reconnect and realize the feelings they had for each other were sincere, and still exist.

I honestly get the sense that maybe somehow she leads him, or he somehow gets the idea that she has romantic feelings for him? I mean, the poor guy hasn't heard anything from her, and for the most part, he's been hostile to her.

The scene with Zig and Miles is a scene that was briefly shown in another promo where Miles was the smug one and Zig was the one looking upset. So I think Miles says something smart and Zig returns the wise crack.

I think Zig moves in with Maya cause he has no where else to go and Maya tries to make it less awkward by not being so open with the relationship infront of Zig. But judging by the looks she gives Zig in the promos I do think she starts to feel something for him.

That's certainly plausible but we don't know that for sure because it wasn't addressed, save for that one scene during the dance where they waved awkwardly.

Edit: Maybe if we had gotten a scene with her and Tristan and Tristan saying something like, "Have you told Zig you're back?" and Maya just like, "Oh crap." But we never got that.

I like this theory.

I think Maya's always felt SOMETHING for Zig but it's never the right time. In Underneath It All, he got back together with Tori. In Doll Parts, he was still WITH Tori and Maya still wanted to be with Cam and didn't want to betray Tori any more than she already had. Then at the end of Zombie, she wasn't emotionally ready - she was still dealing with Cam's suicide. And now she's with Miles.

I having some hopes for Zaya :D

In defense of Zig drinking milk from the carton at Maya's house...I like it because it reminds me of Sean. I hope it is chocolate. Only Sean did that at his own house. We found out from the promo that Zig is homeless. Isn't it possible that he moves in with Maya and her family?

Ah, seems you guys have already speculated on that. Is this a good or bad thing for Zaya? I mean, their parents aren't going to want them dating if they are under the same roof I'm assuming. At least we'd be getting some interaction but it makes me nervous. But everything about Zaya makes me nervous but it is like we are never going to get them!

I honestly don't know how her family would react. I mean, Katie didn't seem to be overly fond of him after he kissed Maya. I don't really know Mrs. Matlin's reaction to him.

Well, Katie's away at university so unless her and Maya shared a room... there's probably an extra one for him to use.

But I still don't see how her parents would be fine with it unless they've become really chill and basically turned into the season 10 Goldsworthys.:P

We really don't know exactly how much her parents know about Zig. I mean, I'm assuming she told them about him at some point, but we don't know if she's told them about their falling out.

But he (Miles) gave her flowers, so he's clearly apologizing for SOMETHING he did.

Now I'm just trying to figure out the order in which all this happens.

Is he apologizing for walking away from her at the dance? Yelling at her while they're in western costumes? What did he do to upset her? Did he do something to Zig? Does Maya cheat on Miles with Zig when he follows her out of the dance (assuming that's what happens) and is that why she's being kind of awkward at the house?
