I've come to the conclusion that Peter was only ever tolerable when he was being Darcy's boyfriend. This is one of those rare times when a ship can actually make me like a character.
But then season 8 went ahead and undid most of that so too bad I guess. |

Yeah they're still one of my favorite couples to come out of the show. It made me happy that she wasn't just forgotten in season 8 and Peter was still missing her. I had hoped that she would come back and they would reunite offscreen but seeing as Peter had a recent ex last season it didn't happen.

I wasn't the biggest fan of them, but there was a goofy charm to them, especially as time went on in their relationship.

I didn't want to because of the photos to Adams thing (and because I liked Spinner/Darcy) but by the end of season 6 I was sold on them. I think it was mostly what you said, the goofy charm that won me over, plus I thought Peter handled season 7 Darcy's issues pretty well.
