I hope Drew and Dallas have a talk about being baby daddies in this episode. And if they do, someone better post in the Double D thread. Drew's thread could use some posting action as well. Clare's appreciation thread is here. I think all the other threads for characters featured in tonight's episode should be on the first or second page if you want to visit.

They did, and it was probably the best scene in the episode.

Now, if the writers could just remember that Clare's got a close friend of her own that's gone through the whole teen pregnancy thing. If they remember that character actually exists.

Didn't find this as good as last week. Might have more thought out comments soon.

I will say this though, Tristan's turn-around on Miles when he rolled up with the car shows who's using who in that relationship.

Not as good as last week, but better than season 13 so that's something.

A-Plot. Miles is a mess. His father is a mess.

I don't think the father-son outing was totally about publicity but knowing his father he probably thought he could get two birds with one stone. The main plot wasn't really resolved except for Mr. Hollingsworth buying his son's love so we have more of this to look forward to but I don't mind since it's pretty good stuff. Maya is butting in, but it's in her character to be concerned about this due to her missing all of Cam's signals. I also liked Zoe and Winston here, shielding Tristan from Miles. The both of them are pretty much over him, I love it. Tristan so was easily bought in by Miles's grand gesture; Frankie's point about Miles and his father being the same went over his head...

B-Plot. Enh, it was there. But I guess they heard all the complaints about Drecky. Dallas was cool here, and...that's about it really. It was just there.

C-Plot. Aw, I liked Zoemund. And kudos for Degrassi for skipping the sexting PSA. I'm really glad they figured out what they're doing with Zoe and not to make it so much like Paige (becoming nice and gaining a "nice" guy so suddenly). Zoe's still Queen Bee and not tied down to a guy, nice. Also liked Grace in her bit here, she seemed more normal instead of an exposition fairy.

I think that I liked the episode but at the same time I feel like I needed more. At the end of the episode I was kinda like THATS IT???????

Obviously this Miles storyline isn't over yet, but I hope that it's not all going to be told from Maya's POV for the rest of the season.

Also Grace is the #1 best ever right now.

I liked it.

A- this plot obviously isn't over yet. I'm sure that Miles is going to be abused by his father even more, and Maya will probably catch on. His happiness can't be bought, obviously. But I'm sure Tristan's can. And I hope Miles tells someone about his dad pushing him into a wall because that's an obvious red flag.

B- I'm just happy Drecky is gone. The two-episode long ship has sunk. Hopefully forever, though that's unclear. The rest of the plot was kinda predictable, actually, at least to me. And for some reason, even though I don't think Drew is all that responsible, I still see him as being a kick-ass father.

C- I'm hoping Zoemund becomes a legit thing because they're wonderful together and they have such great chemistry. I'm also hoping that this is foreshadowing for future plots.
Spoiler:
But other than that, I'm also kinda okay with Zoe being single for a bit. She doesn't really need a boyfriend, anyway.

I'd also like to comment on the fact that we know pretty much nothing about Grace and it's her second season as a regular. Here's to hoping that she gets her own plot someday.

EDIT: I'd also like to mention that the show's seeming to get better with continuity. Not only with the reporter that was sexually harassed by Asher coming back, and Damon returning, but also with the mentioning of Zoe's vid being spread around school without her consent, and most of all, Drew's mention of having worked in the phone kiosk. I'm surprised the show's writers even remembered that because I certainly didn't.

I hope this episode put to rest the suspecions going around that Miles isn't into Tristan as much as Tristan is in to him. If anything, this episode showed that MILES was more in this emotionally than Tristan. Even if he views it as some form of an escape from his messed up life, Miles still enjoys the emotinal relationship that Tristan provides him. The physical I think is fun for him too, but I think he's doing it mainly to please Tristan. I'm wondering if Degrassi will dare enough to let us know if in a heated moment, no erection was formed leaving Tristan disapointed. If by chance they did show that, than it wouldn't prove their relationship to be false, it would just confirm that Miles gets into relationships for the emotional connections rather than sex.

This episode clearly shows Miles' feelings for Tristan, a spark is most certainly there. He likes "only one" guy and that's Tristan. In a weird turn around, it would be quite interesting if Triles ended, not because Miles broke Tristans heart, but because Miles himself felt Tristan wasn't as into their relationship as he was or maybe for the wrong reasons. (Just wanting to have a boyfriend, enjoying the "perks" of the Hollingsworth family, making Maya jealous, etc) Now THAT would be interesting.

I know we are only 2 episodes in to this season, but is it just me, or do plots feel a little rushed this season? I feel like they just have so much in store and are trying to get as much in as possible, but it's kinda showing and not in a good way. The ideas they have are good, but the execution is sloppy. On a side note, I will not enjoy Grace's character untill she has some actual development. We know nothing about her at all, but she appears to have the answers to everything. Everytime characters go to her with questions or for advice, I seriously think of Charlie Brown and the "Psychologist" stand.

Miles A-plot:
I liked that they showed Tristan being hurt by this. Honestly if I was in his position I would have drawn the same conclusion and I'm glad that Miles's actions later disproved this notion. I still don't really have any shippy feels towards them or anything but I think they have an interesting and unique connection. They kinda see each other as an escape from the nastier things in their lives. Bonding through traumas -both involving older men mind you- and in that way I think this relationship could either be a really good thing for both of them or end in an emotional mess.

I think the way they portray Mr.Hollingsworth works too. He's seriously abusive if anything Frankie and Hunter's consistent reactions prove that this abuse has been going on for a long time. Although I'm guessing Mr.Hollingsworth is probably the type to go the verbal route more than resorting to physical violence and that these outburst really build up over a long time. I think it's also easy to see why Miles is such a target. His mom just seems to get out of the way. Based on this episode and the previous reaction to the affair she's probably well aware of what her husband is capable of and takes the "if I don't see it, it didn't happen route" leaving Miles to take the brunt of all his father's frustration and anger. The way this situation is presented and the storyline itself have been well done (in my opinion) considering the subject matter.

eh, I feel like I'm just really over Maya. I understand her being confused and everything but seeing that Miles was clearly upset the first thing she has to say to him is "did you do this to hurt me?" I feel like she's just because everyone's morality puppet.

I also really liked the ending of this plot mainly Tris's reaction and how Miles played the whole thing off. (And Maya's "I can't watch this" face). As they were walking away all I could think was are you seriously just gonna leave the car there and then Tristan said it and I liked him more than I ever have in three seasons.

Zoe/Zig B-Plot:
hmmm.... So I liked this storyline for a couple of reasons
1. I do have those shippy feels for Zig/Zoe. Their chemistry is always there even in the simple little moments.
2. It's nice to see Degrassi deal with a different angle of the post-sexual harassment storyline where Zoe feels like everyone is treating her differently because of her assault. And in a way revictimizing her by creating different rules for her than other girls.
3. Grace was good tonight. More of her please.
4. I kinda also liked the way the show highlighted how kids are using these apps as a "safer" way to sext - teens these days are savvy and it shows a really great progression from the days when Alli was in 9th grade snapping pics with her flip phone. I especially liked that the show didn't really try to comment on this or make it into an after school special.

Also:
- Not sure about Zig having that "pressure" conversation in front of the whole cheer squad...

I think I'm going to like Lola
- aw, so Lola's not in advanced English, that's okay. I'm liking her and Shay's slow intro.
- But her face when she saw Zig walk in to apologize to Zoe was priceless
- Are we to take Lola's offense at Zoe's comment as a sign she was also sending some photos?

Also considering next week's promo I'm glad they used this subplot to set up something bigger.

Zoe is the bomb! Really I think she's truly my favorite Degrassi character in years. Even though I want her and Zig to be together. I'm glad that she stood up for herself and the kind of relationship she wants. And then seamlessly going from that to queen bee mode and snapping her fingers for her minions was just straight up impressive.

Clare/Drew C-Plot:
I don't really have a comment about the Clare/Drew situation right now although I loved Dallas's part in all of it. He has some great lines tonight. But I'd rather wait and see how this all plays out before making a judgement on it.
