I'm still hoping for some sort of big twist that will explain all this. Because I still get uncontrolable flashes of rage when I see the promo stills. Ugh.

The subplot was better IMO. They should have went with a different angle from the mainplot.

I actually enjoyed the entire episode.
Best part, IMO, would be the dinner scene with Manny's parents, Manny and Jay. So funny. Cassie and Jay play so well off of each other. __________________

I thought it was a pretty good episode. However, I'm a little unclear about Jimmy/Ashley. Did they break up or are they still together? To my suprise, I really didn't mind Jay/Manny at all. I was hating the idea of them together but I think I like it now. Manny is slowly becoming one of my favorite characters which says alot considering I hated her for a LONG time. The dinner scene with Jay and her parents was probably my favorite.

I'm pretty sure Jimmy and Ashley are still together. Neither actually broke up with the other so they're still on.

I like the subplot better and the mainplot sucked because I don't like Jay and Manny together.

I really loved this episode. I love Jay and Manny's chemistry. They look good together. I was happy the writer didn't rush them to get togetehr this early in the season and I'm glad her father is letting her do what she loves.
As for JimAsh, please break up already! |

I really liked this episode...actually pretty much everything about it. I thought Manny and Jay had really good chemistry but as much as I liked them I am glad the episode was more focused on Manny and the issues with her father trying to choose her life for her. I thought that was all pretty realistic and I am glad he is finally going to let her chase her dream. I thought the ending was so adorable when she asked her dad to dance and then hugged him when the episode ended. I am glad we got some Emma/Manny scenes. And I liked how Emma and Jay talked about Sean. Jay as always looked sexy. And as always, he was hilarious. I thought the dinner scene was pretty funny...and his comment towards Manny when she said he looked amazing. I also laughed when I saw him going to dance with Mrs.Santos. The subplot was pretty good too. I liked the scenes with Jimmy at therapy and the talks with that girl were sweet.

I really liked this episode. I liked how Manny and Jay interacted and I loved the chemistry. It was worth seeing Mike and Cassie finally do a scene together. I also enjoyed seeing how things came out with her and her father. It looks like her father is finally okay with her wanting pursue acting. I am so anxious to see what is going to happen between Manny and Jay in 2008. It looks like a possible engagement? hmmm....

Hey it just dawned me that we finally got an episode where Manny deals with her family problems.

I enjoyed this episode a lot. I've actually watched it 3 times since it's been on The Click (and I don't normally do that with episodes).
It was a nice turn for Manny's parent's to actually like Jay. I was surprised, but i'm glad it focused more on her struggle with her father than a relationship. The writer's did a good job of making it about the family issue and not a potential romance. You could definitely see a hint of something for Jay/Manny though, but it didn't overpower the episode. I think Cassie and Mike have amazing chemistry and you could feel it coming through in each scene. Also, both Jay and Manny stayed true to their characters, IMO. I went into the episode already a Janny fan, but i really didn't want to have all of my expectations up. I was pleasently surprised the way they were handled...i'm even more of a fan now. It started out for me all about the way they physically looked together, but after watching the ep, I like the way their personalities mesh. So, good on TPTB. =) I didn't enjoy the B-Plot. It was more angsty than the A-plot (which I found really light-hearted) and it ran too long. I feel like it shared an equal amount of time with the A-Plot, so it didn't really serve its purpose as the SUB-plot. I found it really boring. I love love love Jimmy, but I feel the writer's manipulated things in order to end JimAsh, ie: bringing in "the girl who understands" (Trina) and making Ashley an uber-bitch. Where has the JimAsh of Season 6 gone to? Ashley seemed to understand then...why can't she now? TPTB messed this up, in my opinion. If they were really set on breaking JimAsh up, they could have done it in a more respectful way.
Spoiler:
Anywho, overall, I enjoyed it. A-Plot > B-Plot. |

The episode was mega boring. I did like the Jimmy sub plot. It was way more interesting then Manny's little deal. "Oh boo hoo my daddy doesn't approve of my future goals." She should realize that she would need to have a back up plan if she in case her acting thing didn't work out since she's I don't wanna hear her crying about it later in life.
