Your true calling

I know I haven't. I know some people are like "when I was very young, I always wanted to be ____" & that was it. But I never did that. I'm 22 & I'm half way through my degree in psychology, it's becoming crucial to think ahead, it's very unlikely that I'll make it to grad school. I still have no idea what I want to do, all I know it's what I DON'T want to do.

Have you found your true calling?

I'm going to be 20 in about a week and I'm still really unsure about what I want to do with my life. There are so many things I enjoy doing and I'm good at doing, but my chosen major is kind of limited as to common and expected proffessions to go into after completion.

I love playing viola and learning about music theory but I don't want to be a music teacher...so what do I do then, with a music degree? Do I focus in performance since I don't want to go into education? I don't know. I didn't ever have a clear idea before I got to school either, I just wanted to follow my bliss...you know. I figured this is what I would've studied eventually. But it's also partly due to the fact that ever since my mom died it's hard for me to envision how my live would go without her to help and guide me...or you know, have a room to go home to if I suddenly have a crisis and need a break.

I figure I've gotten this far by improvising, hopefully the path I'm on will lead me to what I'm meant to do.

I have no idea what I want to do, I don't even have a clue as to what I'm good at.

Im 22 also and trust me i understand. Im only have a year left with my corrections degree and trust me i should ahve graduated last year but i ran into money problems and then i realized it might have been a good thing cause do i really want to do that. so know i just got the money to finally pay off UINDY and now im trying to decide if i should just go back and finish my last year or just go to IUPUI cause its cheaper, but i really dont want to have to do a whole new 4 year degree so im trying to find classes that could transerfer to a new degree.. really though im so confused!!

I've always wanted to be a teacher. I've always wanted to teach elementary children. Unfortunately that's not what my degree is in though. I have a bachelor's degree in Child Development. I have a minor in psychology.

Yes, I have. I ended up in this field (law) kinda by chance and I have not regretted it for one day. I love everything about it and I can't wait to make a career in this field. I just need to graduate first (in about a year, hopefully).

Yes, I will. I am going back to school in September and I will be majoring in English. I have been writing for so long and it is one of my favorite hobbies. I love it! I want to be either a writer or an editor somewhere. It does not matter where. I know I will find my true calling....

I wanted to be a professional hockey player, but I never got the hang of being on skates.

I like to do lot's of things... but I get bored easily and end up dropping it and starting something new. That's why I really haven't commited myself to any one career... don't wanna be unhappy later on...

So I guess my true calling is to have a variety of things to keep me busy...
